They don't ask for what you want instead or give you something close to it. You just get what they have and obviously a few items may be missing. My brothers and sisters in Christ, if I ordered a donut that you are out of, you can just give me any donut and I'll be happy. I spent money for a donut and in this economy that matters.
- AAAmberJul 5, 20262.0I went with my son this morning for a special treat and the girl taking our order seemed to be confused and I was trying to explain as best as I could. First after ordering she did not get my son’s doughnut so I had to go back and ask for it(no biggy). Then my drink came out and when I looked at the receipt I realized my son’s drink was typed in wrong so I told her. She double checked that I was asking for the drink to be made with lemonade not limeade(which I appreciate). But then the food was ready….. my bagel was black…. I don’t know if she thought I was asking for extra toasted at the register when I said extra cream cheese but I was going to say something until I heard one of the girls talking poorly over the headset about a customer asking for something to be fixed. I got embarrassed and just sat down and didn’t eat it…. I understand that working at a coffee chain can get frustrating (I worked at Starbucks for four years) but at the same time, it’s just coffee… if something needs to be fixed, I don’t know why a customer needs to be talked about in such a poor manner… Nonetheless the service at the cash register was not reaching the level of service I would expect. They did fix the one drink but then my food turned out to be completely burnt. What really ruined the experience was the talking poorly about customers on the floor, it made me feel uncomfortable to say anything about my food and then guilty about saying something about my sons drink. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be returning, I’d rather go to Rebeca’s bakery downtown or the doughnut shop next to Lola’s laundry mat.
