  Called to order and spoke with someone who sounded like they were from a call center. I say this not bc of an accent but bc of the numerous unnecessary questions asked that prolonged the exchange. After several minutes of back and forth I found they were adding a $5 delivery fee onto my $12 order that doesn’t go to the driver. When I asked why a $12 coupon turned into a $17 total before tax and tip, I was told their pizza delivery drivers make a salary to cover their time. So am I expected to tip or not? Is it a $12 pizza with coupon or is it a $20 pizza after tip? Have you ever heard of a pizza delivery driver making salary? Went with LaRosa’s instead, got my pizza and a 2 Liter and after tip it was $20 after tip. No bogus delivery charge that only goes to the company and is 40% of the total. Tipped 20%. Don’t waste your time. I’ve lived in the area for 40 years and every time I’ve called to order a pizza it’s: “What’s your number? What would you like? Great this is your total. We’ll see you in 45 minutes.” I don’t know why Papa John’s needs to over complicate a simple order, or charge a fee that is 40% of the total and needs an additional tip, but I’m not paying it. It’s a pizza order, not a time share with hidden fees.
