From the moment we walked in, it had such a cozy, relaxing vibe. The food looked amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, and it felt like one of those places you go when you want a real dinner, not just a quick meal. Everything felt fresh, warm, and made with care. So if you’re in Wichita and craving Italian food, Napoli Italian Eatery is definitely worth checking out.

EDIT BELOW! I’m really disappointed to be leaving this review because the restaurant itself was beautiful, especially the outdoor seating area, and the young men keeping our waters filled were attentive and kind throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the service from our waiter, Jeandre, completely changed the experience. We were seated at 6:33 PM and did not receive our food until 8:05 PM. During that time, we were only checked on three times, and the food itself was just okay at best. What was most frustrating was being told that no manager could speak with us because management was “too busy,” especially after spending over $100 on dinner. Overall, the lack of communication and attention made for a very disappointing experience. EDIT: Updating my review because the owner personally reached out to apologize and acknowledged how frustrating our experience was. They explained they were extremely busy and short staffed that evening and have genuinely tried to make things right, including inviting us back to give them another try. We have actually loved coming here in the past, which is why this visit was so disappointing for us in the first place. The atmosphere is beautiful, and staff members helping with waters and seating were attentive and kind. I still feel the wait time and lack of communication that night deserved to be addressed, but I do appreciate the professionalism, accountability, and effort made afterward to fix the situation.

It's a handsome eating space in a somewhat generic contemporary style. The bar area is nicely divided and it appeared to have an attractive outdoor patio/seating area. So I give it 3 stars for being nice but not anything terribly unique. The bruschetta board we ordered for an appetizer was DIY style, with toasted bread and several small bowls to assemble as you saw fit. The pistachio pesto was tasty. My caesar salad was flavorful. Our server was friendly if not exceptionally attentive. Our drinks, appetizer and salad all arrived in good time. But after that, there was an extraordinary wait for our main dishes. I can only imagine there must have been some issues back-of-house, as the restaurant was hardly full when we ordered. All I can say is that we saw a few other tables that arrived after us get served before us. Our party was made up of pretty patient and understanding people, but the wait seemed really strange and puzzling. Our server offered no apology or explanation and only once offered a "Your meals are coming shortly" – followed by more waiting. We would have appreciated a little more empathy and any sort of explanation. The oricchiette pasta dinner I sampled was quite good with a spicy sausage. My father seemed okay with with his malfadine bolognese – although he thought the pasta was chewy. He's 92, so take that for what it's worth. I had the chicken piccata. And this was very disappointing. Bland with barely any capers and little of the tangy zest that I expect from this dish. The only burst of lemon came from a bit of juice squeezed from a small lemon wedge (from the bar prep?) that came with the dish. The chicken itself seemed thicker and not at all golden in color as I associate with this dish. This was a big let down for me. Now, this seems to be a very popular place, and it must be doing somethings right as some other reviews here suggest. So maybe this was an off night. I wouldn't dissuade you from trying it, but I'd steer you away from the chicken piccata.

Beautiful place! A little small but still pretty hopping. We went on prom night so that may be why it was a struggle to get a table for six people at 6 o’clock. The calamari was delicious and so was the focaccia bread. I really enjoyed the Napoli salad! The goat cheese was great! My mother-in-law really enjoyed the Italian margarita which had almond amaretto instead of triple sec. The manager Jeremy did a good job of shuffling tables since we had an outdoor reservation and it was raining. We did have to wait, but Jane at the bar made sure we were well stocked. I got the shrimp Verde, which needed salt. I hate to say that because it’s sacrilege to ask for salt, but it definitely needed a little bit more something. All in all it was a great night. It was easy to talk in the restaurant. Not too loud, but lots of celebration all around us! We Could enjoy through other people but still enjoy our table of friends.

Goodness gracious I can’t say enough good things about this place. My boyfriend and I don’t get to go out often but we’ve been lucky enough to eat at a few of the finer places in Wichita like Georges, Wine Dive, etc. Napoli completely blew them out of the water. The food was delicious, authentic and fresh. The drinks were strong and absolutely lovely. The prices are very fair and reflect the quality of the food. Most importantly, Bradon was our server and he absolutely made our night. I am a waitress myself and I have never, in all my years, received the level of service he provided us. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu but also incredibly kind. At the end of our meal he even gave us his favorite dessert to try, free of charge. It’s enough to make a grown woman cry! This restaurant has standards, and it shows. We will absolutely be returning whenever we are able.
