We absolutely love Blue Sushi. I have never had a bad experience there. The Happy Hour is amazing .... Highly recommend reservations because of its popularity......so why am I writing this review for a restaurant that is already highly desirable? I wanted give a shout out to our waiter Carlos. He was attentive without being "too intrusive". He put. smile on my face for sure. The staff is always great at Blue Sushi but Carlos is definitely at the top of his game. As we say even a great meal can be ruined by poor wait staff. Keep up the. great work ....!! Blue Sushi ....honestly you cant make it any better!

Stopped in here for a late Saturday lunch and we were surprised to find they had a happy hour going on. The service was top notch. The sushi was acceptable for a sushi bar on the Midwest. Tried a Cali roll, Philadelphia Roll, Lion King and a Hotel Cali. Would recommend every one of them. The thing that caught my attention was the amount of vegan sushi that they have. My wife is not a fish eater so this would be particularly interesting for her. Will definitely come back during a future trip to the area to try more of the menu.

I have never felt so disrespected. Been coming here for years but after tonight I promise I couldn’t even be paid to return. Before you think I’m overreacting just hear me out because this really ruined my night. My husband and I get there, they tell me the wait time is probably going to be about 30 minutes, ok that’s fine! I get its estimated. It’s a Friday night, it’s busy. 40 minutes go by and I just check up on the wait time because I seen lots of people getting Sat before us. They tell me I was somehow taken off the list? I did not receive any texts (outside of the initial confirmation) but I figured theyd try and fix it and I was very patient. The guy said “no worries, I don’t know how you got removed but I put you at the front of the list and they’re just cleaning the table so you should be seated very soon!” And I confirmed if I’d be sent a text. Another 10 minutes goes by and I ask if they’re still cleaning the table. He says “actually there’s no tables available because they’re all taken up by reservations but we can seat you at the bar” And then he went and acted like the ENTIRE time this was always the case! I asked “so why wouldn’t someone tell me that earlier?” “Well you didn’t have a reservation” He just kept circling back to me not having a reservation when it would have been nice to know I’d be sitting there for an hour plus without a reservation! He literally made it seem like I was about to get a table and this is already after they somehow screwed up and removed me from the waitlist. I get upset because he wouldn’t even acknowledge where they went wrong at all. I go on open table and turns out there were open reservations EVERY 15 MINUTES!!! all they had to do was tell me to set a reservation for 15 minutes from then on the app and none of this would have happened. But instead he decided to make it seem like this whole experience was my fault. I have never felt so disrespected and deliberately misunderstood at a restaurant. We decided to just set a reservation for 15 minutes later since we’d already been there over an hour. We get seated, the server was very nice, but the meal itself turned out to be very mid for the price. Barely any fish and a $90 bill. Words can’t express how upset I am that nothing about this experience was enjoyable and I tried my best to make good out of it. Take accountability for your mistakes and don’t make me look like an idiot when you’re looking at me right in the face and act like I did something wrong! It was very embarrassing and upsetting! I am not a confrontational person and this experience really really upset me.

We showed up and was told it would be 30 minutes to be seated. 40 minutes came by and we asked about our waitlist and was told something happened and we were taken off the waitlist. Then we were out back on another 20 and finally are told that we can only sit at the bar or high top. Not chance of a table or booth. We spend an hour of our day sitting outside waiting for a seat to then later be told no seat would be available. Just be honest and upfront with us to begin with and we would have happily went somewhere else. Instead no one wanted to take accountability of the situation. Why tell us it would be 30 minutes (mess that up) and put us on another waitlist and was told that a table was getting ready and were next in line to later be told no table would be available just bar.

On Sundays. They have happy hour all day so they give me very busy. We were going to be on a wait for one hour at four P.M. but we found two open barstools for happy hour on the east side of the building. And we sat there Period if you try to sit on the West side of the building at the bar. Those are not reserved for happy hour.
