  I'm in a quandary -- the food was excellent!!! I had the meatloaf dinner and would give it a 5+, but there are a couple of things that make me lower my rating. First, the efforts by this business to be handicap accessible are dismal. Yes you can get in the business without going up any stairs, but you have to park nearer the entrance to the motel than the restaurant and even more challenging is the sidewalk one has to walk up. There is no railing on it and to make it more challenging if you leave the restaurant after dark there is very little light on the sidewalk. Walking down the sloped sidewalk in the dark was frightening! I think the slope is steeper than it is supposed to be. As a physically challenged person I felt very nervous trying to navigate my way back to the car as I walked down that slope.

  This place is amazing! Connected to a Hilton right across the street from Kansas State university, as soon as you walk in you can feel the warmth of the atmosphere. The staff are friendly and informative about the menu and surrounding area. The food is top notch and reasonably priced and you can get a schooner of beer for 8 bucks ! I will definitely be returning here!

  Food was ok but they mixed up our order. It was fixed but it tells me they were not very attentive. Also area was a bit buggy

  I was incredibly frustrated during my second visit to this restaurant. It was Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 7:52 pm, sitting at Table 21 and served by Eliza P. Our total bill was $50.76, plus a 20% tip of $10.76. I paid with my debit card for $60.91, but unfortunately, the machine was out of paper and didn't print a receipt. Trusting my server, I later found out they charged me $74.62 instead. When I called the restaurant for clarification, the manager claimed the correct amount was only $61.00. That simply isn't true! I don’t need any reimbursement, but I do expect honest service. To anyone dining at Houlihan's in Manhattan, KS, I advise you to keep a close eye ALWAYS ON YOUR RECEIPTS!!

  My husband and I went here for date night and we enjoyed ourselves! Our food was good and fresh, the waitress was nice and attentive once we were seated. When we first arrived we did stand there for a while before the hostess greeted us, no one came to greet us or was standing in the front greet guest. As I stated once we were seated our waitress was nice and attentive and made good recommendations from the menu. Only complaints we had was about the hostess/greeting situation and there were ants crawling all over our table from the window we were seated at.
