Sam was our waitress, she was great!! Pasta was delicious. Fish had little too much breading, tbh. Bang Bang shrimp was just ok

The food was delicious. The staff was polite and attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. My table was clean my server was polite and informed me of everything on the menu, asked is I had any allergies and was willing to answer any questions I had regarding my meal. I order the butterfish filet and I did not want the asparagus but since I have a service background I know how some restaurants get about modifications to dishes. I did not run into that issue here thankfully. The bang bang shrimp was sooooo good I’m obsessed with it and think this may be my new go to fine dining restaurant. I will say I was not the biggest fan of the cheese sauce on the butterfish for me it throws off the whole dish, there was also a very strong lemon butter sauce on my fish as well that I wasn’t to fond of .But that has absolutely nothing to do with the way it’s cooked and more to do with the dish combination itself. I personally think the butterfish is such a strong fish it could stand on its own with just the scallops, but since it was my first time here I didn’t know what it would taste like, next time I will be sure to ask for no cheese sauce on the fish and light lemon butter. Also the fish is so well made! You can literally taste that it was fresh and grilled over wood. Hard to explain but different cooking methods give off a different taste and in my opinion fish grilled over wood is the best way to grill fish. The garlic potatoes were very good and so so soft they basically melted in your mouth, the rice was plain but again that’s ok it’s meant to compliment the fish and since I didn’t like that I couldn’t really enjoy the rice. But overall I loved my experience and will be recommend this restaurant and this location to people in the future. I will also be coming back to experience this lovely place again! The manger on duty at the time I went was named Stephanie I believe and she was amazing she made sure my first dining experience with them was positive and that my food was prepared correctly she also frequently checked on me to make sure I was enjoying my time there. My sever whose name I can’t recall at the moment was older women with really pretty white hair, she was absolutely amazing! We discussed the menu at length and she ran through the whole thing with me, offering her recommendations and checking in on me throughout my whole meal to let make sure I was enjoying the food and that were no issues. I had had a minor mouth surgery the morning prior to coming in here, so this food was my first meal of the day at 4pm and honestly I’m glad I picked here to eat. 10/10 if you haven’t been here definitely stop by.

This is Kathie, Paul's wife writing the review for both of us. We ate here on a Friday night for the first time since we moved to Overland Park. We had tried the Bonefish Grill in Denver Colorado and found it mediocre but wanted to give it a try here. First of all, it looked like a really pretty restaurant with white tablecloth but we were shocked to find out when we sat down that the tablecloths are made of plastic. Who does this? Is this a cafeteria or a nice restaurant? One thing that was very nice was the wait staff. The hostesses were lovely and our waitress named Imar was just precious. The only thing worth eating on the menu I think is the bang bang shrimp, which was excellent. My husband got the salmon and I got grilled chicken breast and both of them were subpar. Not only that they but were served on tiny plates, which we just couldn't understand. We ended up paying $50 a person for a total of $100 to eat here and it would have been so much better to have a lovely plate large with a good presentation. I just don't understand how this restaurant has made it as long as it has. We've been going to Red Lobster for almost 50 years and literally almost never had a bad meal. Everybody sneers at chain restaurants but the reason that they are so successful is that they serve consistently wonderful food with consistently great staff. So I would recommend you not come to this restaurant.
