    Mid smoothie and a mid quesadilla. Plus they asked for a tip on a takeout order (it’s your employer’s job to pay you a fair wage, not mine). Now I know I don’t need to come back👍🏿

    First time at a Tropical Smoothie with my kids who were unsure if or what they would like. The staff working that day were great! Abigail, Kara and Aadan were kind, friendly, patient and helpful with our order. When we told them we were unsure of what to get they all made recommendations and helped my kids pick out something they would actually like. Even though they seemed to hit a small rush our smoothies were made in a timely manner and were delicious! Great service overall, we will definitely be returning to this location and trying more of their smoothies! Thank You!!

    Props to Tropical Smoothie in Lawrence. Always something new to try Tiki Rocks 🛘 try it with kale slaw and Blimey Limey. Go in and see the girls working and ask for the Tiki Torch, you won’t be disappointed

    In customer service you’d expect cashiers to say things like “How was your day” and “what can I get you?” But one of your workers “Aadan” I think, went beyond that. She was super cheerful and genuinely made me smile. She gave a ton of compliments to both me and my friend, and was honestly one of the nicest people I’ve met in awhile. Please tell her I say thank you, she genuinely made my day.

    This was, unfortunately, one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in my 27 years living in Lawrence. My first experience with this employee was after placing an online order. I arrived about 20 minutes later, but my order hadn’t even been started. When I pointed it out, he seemed unaware it existed. Rather than preparing my order, he continued making other online orders and helping customers who had arrived after me. I remained patient and, when another employee came out from the back, I asked if they could help with my order. They asked this employee to prepare it, but even after I spoke with him two more times, it still took about 30 minutes before I received my food. To make matters worse, the sweet potatoes were cold. I chose not to complain because everyone can have a bad day. Unfortunately, my next visit confirmed that this wasn’t an isolated incident. I placed my order with another employee at the register and then waited to use the restroom. When this employee pictured came out of the restroom, he was on his cell phone, laughing and talking on speakerphone while walking around the customer area. Shortly afterward, I noticed he had locked the front doors, preventing a customer from entering. I called out, “Sir,” three times. He clearly heard me because I heard him tell the person on the phone, “Let me call you back, I guess they need me.” He didn’t acknowledge me directly. After hanging up, I informed him that the front door was locked and customers were trying to come inside. He slowly searched for the keys, unlocked the door, and let them in. Professionalism and customer service matter. Based on my experiences, this employee appeared disengaged, inattentive, and more focused on his personal phone call than on helping customers. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope management addresses these concerns so future customers have a better experience.
