  Had a Navy Officer & College Grad celebration party for our son here today and can’t say enough great things about Dempsey’s! The service was great…food amazing…and had a wonderful celebration! Ellie was wonderful at helping in the planning and Taylor was fantastic at the event! We definitely recommend Dempsey’s for any and all occasions! Thank you 💙

  Absolutely terrible experience. The place smelled weird the second we walked in, the tables were sticky, and the whole atmosphere felt dirty and unorganized. The food came out lukewarm, overly greasy, and tasted like it had been sitting around for hours. The burger was sloppy and bland, the wings were rubbery, and somehow they were completely out of fries… at dinner time. On top of that, the staff acted annoyed anytime someone needed something, and the service was painfully slow even though it wasn’t even busy. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Also literal ROACH INFESTED!

  Terrible experience and incompetent management and staff. We placed a pickup order for our family member’s graduation in advance. When we were notified it was ready we arrived and were told they lost the order. Not a huge deal by itself- we were told the order would be ready in 20 minutes. After about 25 minutes the server or host came back and said they were backed up so it was going to be an hour more instead! At no point did a manager come speak with us or apologize. In the end we had them refund it and left without any care from the staff there. I’d be understanding if it was packed in the restaurant but there were only 3 tables outside and about 5 inside the whole place. Cherry on top- they ran out of fries! How a burger pub runs out of French fries is beyond me. Overall terrible customer service, terrible experience, and zero food.

  Ate there tonight. First time. Won’t ever go back. The only thing worse than the service was the classic margarita! We sent them back because they weren’t even drinkable. FINALLY got to order food and were told they were out of a couple appetizers. Ordered a smash burger (pretty simple, right?) well, when it arrived it was a completely different burger. Also ordered fish and chips and while the fish was ok the fries were cool and flimsy. Wait staff is either overwhelmed or just really bad. Will absolutely not return or recommend this place to anyone. Really Dempseys? Better work on some things as there are so many other options in Lawrence.

  I was really disappointed with my experience at this burger pub. The food was not good at all. The fries were overdone and tasted burnt, and the small amount of sauce served with them felt unnecessarily rationed. The pretzels came with barely any beer cheese, which made them dry and not enjoyable. The drinks were even worse. The margarita tasted awful, and the martini was warm and clearly not made properly. It honestly felt like it was put together by someone with no training. To make things worse, our server did not seem to understand the menu and couldn’t answer basic questions.
