Ordered online. Said it would be ready at 2:34. Arrived at 2:39. Food wasn’t even cooked and had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes. Overpaid on the app already I could at least get food ready on time.

If I could give negative stars I would! Ordered online, pickup said 30 minutes. Got there and apparently the order did not go through. I had to tell them 3 times that I ordered and PAID online for them to make the food. I even showed the email I received. Was told 20 minutes for the order. Waiting 40 minutes instead. When we did receive the food, it was cold. The queso and the nacho cheese was extremely watery and no flavor AT ALL. All the consume had a TON of oil and tasted like oil and then when you could taste something else it was super salty. I barely got any beans in my flauta plater. The flautas were fried HARD. Overall, the price we paid, the experience and the food was NOT WORTH IT. VERY VERY disappointed!! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

It's all outside the seats. And everything really, really cute place, really, really good food, definitely going to go back first time. I ever tried one of the cheeto balls, and I also had the ramen which was fire.

I wanted to like Nunez Foods. Actually, that’s not quite right. I expected to like Nunez Foods. The bright pink building and covered patio make a great first impression. It looks like the kind of neighborhood spot where you order too much food, hang out for a while, and start planning your next visit before you’ve finished eating. The smell coming from the service window only reinforced that feeling. Whatever was cooking smelled incredible. Unfortunately, my visit never really got off the ground. Ordering felt confusing, with a service window, kiosk, and food truck all operating in the same space. After placing my order, I waited 45 minutes with no communication. Employees moved between the building and truck, customers came and went, and nobody ever checked in or explained that my order had apparently been lost. The frustrating part wasn’t the wait itself. Anybody who has worked in restaurants knows things go sideways sometimes. Tickets get lost. Systems break down. Bad days happen. The frustrating part was not knowing what was happening. Eventually, after asking about my order, the food arrived. By then I was running late to pick up my son, which meant the experience I’d come for was gone before it really started. What makes this disappointing is that there were genuinely good things on the table. The Birria Hot Cheeto Balls were excellent. Bright red, packed with flavorful birria, loaded with melted cheese, and served with a cheddar sauce I would happily order again. They were easily the highlight of the meal. The food showed flashes of creativity and personality that made me understand why people speak highly of this place. The strangest part came later when I received a Square notification saying my order was ready nearly two hours after I had already picked it up and eaten it. It felt like the final chapter in a visit defined by confusion. After sharing my experience, Nunez Foods acknowledged the issue and apologized. I appreciate that. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is how they’re handled afterward, and they deserve credit for owning it. I still think there’s something worth supporting here. The patio is inviting, the food has potential, and the Birria Hot Cheeto Balls alone make me curious about what a smoother visit would look like. Good food earns a second visit. Hospitality earns loyalty. The hospitality missed the mark on my visit, but the apology mattered enough that I’m willing to give them another chance.
