  We’ve been here multiple times now and the food is consistently AMAZING every single time. Everything is always well prepared, perfectly seasoned, fresh, and the portions are huge — definitely enough for leftovers, and somehow it reheats just as good later too. I always get the fried fish Opelousa and it is SO good every time. The fish is cooked perfectly with the perfect amount of seasoning and crispiness. The dirty rice underneath is flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and the seafood sauce they put on top is honestly incredible. It’s packed with flavor and even has little seafood chunks in it that make the whole dish even better. My boyfriend got the fish, shrimp, and grits and said it’s the best he’s ever had. The seasoning in the grits makes the entire dish flavorful, the fish is always fresh and crispy, and the shrimp are juicy and seasoned perfectly. The portion sizes are amazing too. I’ve also tried the wings before and they were great as well. You can tell they really care about the quality and consistency of their food. Definitely one of our favorite soul food spots.

  What can I say. Dang good soul food. The basa was fantastic. The red beans and rice had a nice kick to it. I know that my wife and I will definitely be back.

  Came in here on our way back home to MPLS. Smelt soooooo good as soon as we walked in, I could smell the seasonings. Reminded me of those big family dinners / bbqs and running around as a child. The lady at the register was extremely welcoming patient and helpful. Everything was fresh to order and hot. The staff made us feel like family. The music was soulful and inviting. I’m going to tell everyone to come here . 20/20 for sure.
