  My husband and I went there yesterday (6/15) for the first time… and honeyyyyy, let me tell you something! If you live in WyCo and haven’t been here yet, what are you doing?! We ordered the oxtails, a tackle box, a 6-piece lemon pepper wing combo, and a side of green beans. When I tell you EVERYTHING was good, I mean everything was GOOD. The atmosphere was just as good as the food. It honestly felt like we were at a family member’s house, everyone talking about life, shooting the breeze, listening to good music, and enjoying some amazing food. We’ll definitely be back!

  A group of us walked in and ordered Oxtail, Fish, Salmon and ton of sides and it was all amazing!! Portions are so well worth the price and it makes us out of towners wanting more!

  Came with a group of 6 and the wait for everything was minimal. Crystal is great and the ox tails are AMAZING 😍 Totally worth the money!

  So, two of my fellow retired buddies and I go out every Tuesday for lunch. We don't do repeat visits unless they become a favorite of all three of us. In the last two years we've visited over 100 local Kansas City restaurants. Our visit to 1930 Classic Kitchen has been among our best visits, and we will give them our return business. I am remiss for not having taken pictures of our meals (I usually don't unless I'm with my wife), but between us we had the fried basa, collard greens, red beans and rice, seasoned fries, onion rings, and the pork chop sandwich (served rustically with the bone in). Not only was all of our food delicious, but this family-run establishment is owned by the most delightful folks. They are truly welcoming, and the owner, Free, came out to see how we were doing, and twenty minutes later we walked out feeling like we had new friends. One small thing that impressed me was that during our conversation Free paused to welcome one of his staff (in Spanish) that was arriving for work that day with smiles exchanged by both. Please come for the food, and stay for the hospitality. Support local!
