I used the app to order 2 drinks as I do alot so nothing new. We pulled into to a space for mobile ordering and checked in on my phone at the time the order was to be done. There was maybe 2 cars there so not busy that is when the problem started. We waited and waited my order was places at 8:21 pm, we watched another car pull in and press the order button after 10 minutes they left as no one answered.,thats right we are still waiting, we can see our drinks sitting on the counter, we can see employees that appear to be arguing still no drinks. At 8:53 yes I was patient I got out of my car walked into the building and said I am just going to get my drinks, the 2 employees looked at my totally surprised and said oh sorry that was it. Yes I had tipped on the app when I ordered not sure for what since I waited on myself but lesson learned I will wait to tip or go someplace else.

Quaint little Sonic in Hiawatha Ks. All the board functions worked great! Several lanes on one side were dedicated to app users. The service was very friendly and I was address promptly. I got the feeling she was working there alone. I rarely get the same voice carhopping as delivering. It took awhile to get my 3 corndogs (3-4 songs). However, to her credit, if she was working alone, she remained cheerful and wore a smile. I appreciated that as a traveler thru the town. I picked the right place to grab a bite.

I rolled into this Sonic on 1st Street while driving through Hiawatha and it was the perfect pit stop. It is a classic drive-in setup where you just pull into a stall, which is great because I did not even have to worry about walking inside or messing up an order at a counter. The speaker system worked fine and the carhop who brought out my food was super quick and friendly. I ended up ordering a double cheeseburger, some tater tots, and a big cherry limeade to wash it down. The burger was surprisingly fresh and juicy with plenty of pickles, though I accidentally squeezed it a bit too hard and a blob of mustard landed right on my steering wheel like a total klutz. The tots were perfectly crispy and hot, and the drink had that perfect pebble ice that just hits the spot on a long drive. It is exactly what you want when you need fast, comforting food on the go, and I will definitely pull back in next time I am in the area.
