  First of all, I wish I had read the reviews before coming here, because then I would not have tried to eat here in the first place. But I figured hey, it's Taco Bell, I know what to expect. I was wrong. So very wrong. I have been stopping in Fort Scott for dinner on road trips to and from Oklahoma for almost 5 years. This is the first time I'd gone to the Taco Bell here in Ft Scott, and it will be the last. All I wanted to do was get a bathroom break, food, then back on the road. Nope. I walked in to an empty restaurant, sat down with my kids, and placed an online order before sending them off to the restroom. I got our food almost 40 minutes later AND all of the other people who had arrived after me had already gotten their food. Exasperated, I asked "so, what happened? Why did my food take almost 40 minutes" and the 5 guys behind the corner looked at each other in bewilderment as if I'd asked them to teach me quantum physics. I have been doing this back and forth drive for almost five years. Yay coparenting. We stop in Vinita and Fort Scott like clockwork. Because of the length of this stop, my kids were late to bed and now they're going to be cranky when they eventually get out of bed in the morning. Y'all going to come over here and help me with that? Oh and they forgot my drinks. But it's not like I was going to go back for those after all of the shenanigans.

  Both my burrito and my sons food had almost no meat in it. Sat in drive through forever!

  What a nice and quaint little Mexican diner! While we waited my wife, Rita and I played a nice game of “I spy” in the drive thru and when we ran out of things to spy, we watched a movie on her telephone. The food came right when we were at the end of Titanic! While the mild sauce is a little too spicy for me, the overall flavor profile of my taco was exquisite.

  Last 3 times I have been there they have said it’s going to be 10 to 15 minutes in a dead drive through. Tonight at 745 I asked the guy on the intercom why and he said it’s because he cut it off. Asked again he said because I said so.

  The food was great, but I ordered soft tacos and got crunchy. I had been driving all day (12 hours) and was just trying to get to my destination.
