Don’t get me wrong, the food is pretty good. However, the prices are just ridiculous. My family and I went and got a half and half order (half cheese dogs, half chili cheese) and it was over $25. On top of it, they expect you to tip at the drive up window, making the order around $40 for 6 hotdogs and a half gallon of root beer. THE WORST PART is, they got our order wrong. We ordered five cheese dogs and one chili cheese and they mixed it up. This isn’t the first time they’ve messed up the order, it’s happened virtually every time we’ve been here. I think this is the last time I’ll come here.

I had asked our server if they had pork hotdog or beef hotdog she told me they had beef hotdog as I only eat beef. Upon getting my food, took a bite out of my hotdog and immediately knew I was not eating a beef hotdog, but I was eating a pork hotdog. So I called to let them know I was still in the parking lot and that I was told that I was getting a beef hotdog, but their hotdog were not beef. They were pork. The manager explained to me how their hotdog dogs are beef and pork mixed. I told her the girl told me I was getting a beef hotdog dog as I do not eat pork hot dogs. Never once did she say let me refund you. I’m sorry for the miscommunication Instead pertaining to insist that their hotdog dogs are mixed, but I told her there is a difference between an all beef hotdog and a pork hot dog. I then asked to speak to the owner and was told they were not there, and that she would take down my name and number and maybe they might call me. Really disappointed because the girl that served the food in the first place should have known that they did not have all beef hotdog dogs. There is a major difference between beef hotdog and pork hotdog. Hoping I don’t get sick. I took myself down to Sycamore ice cream where they in fact, sell all beef hotdog dogs.

We had a great lunch here! Love the drink options. The pork tenderloin was jumbo sized. I was a little disappointed to get 3 onion rings for 5 bucks, but the kids liked their burgers and dogs. We have been here before and we will be back.
Hadn’t been in the Monticello area in nearly a decade, so ofc I had to make a stop at one of my favorite places to go to growing up. This place nails the nostalgia factor if you’re also from this area. Even if you’re not from the area, the old school drive-in style dining, sticking close to its roots, while adding more modern twists to its menu to stay relevant with the times, without straying away from those more classic menu items we all grew up loving, this place is a must stop in Monticello. Perfect for a summer lunch stop on your way to Indiana Beach, or any other occasion. Ran by an absolutely wonderful owner, who’s got a great team by her side, this place will surely continue to be a staple of this small town for a long time to come!
