It used to be that you went to a coffee shop for the service and the experience. Maybe sit down with a friend, relax, and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Getting coffee was an experience, or at least it should be. Instead, we stood at the counter while an employee washed a bucket for over a minute. She turned around, looked directly at us, then went right back to washing the bucket without saying a word. Another minute later, she slowly walked over and finally asked, “What can I get for you?” As I started to look around the floor was nasty...then I noticed it was not just the floor. The coffee was barely hot, and the service made us feel like we were an interruption. Why put myself through the hassle?? At this point, why spend money on overpriced coffee that is not even that good and get treated like a problem? I might as well grab gas station coffee and make it myself or just make it at home. Don't companies have standards anymore?
