If I could give zero stars, I would.

My experience at this McDonald’s today was one of the worst customer-service experiences I have ever had at a McDonald’s.
From the very beginning of my interaction at the drive-thru, the employee taking orders was unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and condescending. I was simply trying to ask about the Big Mac 2 for $6 promotion because the screen did not appear to be displaying the order correctly. Instead of allowing me to explain what I was asking, I was immediately met with an attitude and told that it would be taken off at the end.
Every time I attempted to say something or clarify my order, I was interrupted with, “Is that all?”
At one point, another person came over the drive-thru speaker and said, “Yeah, you’re not going to talk to my daughter that way.” The problem is, I had not been rude to anyone. I was trying to place an order and understand a promotion. I remained calm, respectful, and professional throughout the entire interaction.
At that point, I decided I wanted to speak with a manager. I pulled out of the drive-thru and went inside specifically to address the situation calmly and professionally. I asked for a manager and was met by a man wearing a yellow vest who told me he was in charge and that there was no manager there. When I informed him that I was recording the conversation because I wanted an accurate record of what had happened, he went to the back to apparently try to locate someone.
And this is where the situation became even more concerning: there was no manager available to speak with a customer who had a legitimate complaint.
I have video documenting what happened inside the restaurant, including the fact that I remained calm, respectful, and professional while simply trying to find someone in management who would listen to my concern.
This is not about expecting employees to be perfect. It is about basic customer service, accountability, and professionalism. Customers should not be spoken to this way—especially when they have done nothing to warrant it. And when a customer takes the time to come inside and calmly request a manager, there should absolutely be someone available to address the situation.
I strongly believe McDonald’s corporate leadership needs to look into how customer interactions are being handled at this location. If the drive-thru communications are recorded, I strongly encourage corporate to review the audio from approximately 2:40 PM today. Listening to the actual interaction would make it very clear that I was not the person creating the confrontation.
I have also filed a complaint with the McDonald’s corporate office because I believe this deserves more than a Google review. Employees represent the McDonald’s brand every time they interact with a customer. Rudeness, interrupting customers, dismissing legitimate questions, and then having another employee confront a customer over the speaker is simply unacceptable.
And for the record, I am not someone who routinely leaves negative reviews. If you look at my other Google reviews, you will see that I frequently leave positive reviews when businesses provide good service. I do not go looking for reasons to complain. It takes a genuinely unacceptable experience for me to take the time to write something like this.
I will not be returning to this location.
I sincerely hope corporate takes this complaint seriously, reviews the available drive-thru recording and my video, identifies the employees involved, and provides appropriate corrective action and customer-service training.
