- MMMary Marcum3 days ago1.0I walked into the Krispy Kreme on Veterans Parkway at 6:15 am this morning. My plan was to buy donuts for my supervisors birthday as a surprise but alas I left that store empty handed. Why you ask, because the young man on the clock in charge of waiting on customers was literally the most unpleasant person I had the pleasure of dealing with today. I tried asking about a specific donut (cannoli) that I had not tried and apparently it’s to hard to just be friendly and sociable this early in the morning. My question was what is covering this specific donut, without a smile or look of joy on his face he told “sugar” literally the only word he used to describe and trust me when I tell you the cannoli donut is not plain nor did it resemble sugar. So I asked again, I said you’re telling me that the white pieces covering the chocolate is large clumps of sugar. His reply and I kid you not sugar and bread pieces. Did not sound appealing and I’m sure that donut was probably delicious but without the accurate ingredients I moved to my next question…the lovely raspberry filled that was not in the case at this time. I said do you have any of these in the back. To which again he replied with a disgusted look on his face at the very thought of having to answer anymore of my questions with yes but no offer of going to grab them or at least tell me why they were not in said donut case. I asked yet another question with really no hope of getting any donuts at this point as I could tell my presence and questions were a bother to him. I asked how long before they are ready which could have been answered when he told me they were here but sadly he stated in 30 minutes. I proceeded to give up on my question for donuts today. I could tell by the attitude he had that he was not interested in serving me or being a polite individual so I told him not to worry about it. I was not going to get anything today. He literally turned around and walked towards the back of the store. No have a good day, no thanks for coming in just a rude, unhappy person who apparently hates his job and should probably not be a person serving others in a customer service roles. I understand people have a bad day and we don’t always know what someone is going through. We all have a bad day. However this is your job that pays you to be in a customer service roles, you are not paid to be unfriendly to anyone that just wants to buy something. I am not posting this review to tell people not to visit this location as I know it’s one employee on one shift today and tomorrow is another day. I am posting this to make a point. Whoever chooses a job that requires you to wait on customers, you should be aware that you actually have to wait on customers and you should in fact be pleasant and know your product. If you are unable to be rude for absolutely no reason find another job out of sight from customers so you don’t have to help anyone. Your attitude toward me today was not necessary or wanted. The message I received through your demeanor and expressions was I was a bother to you and you did not have the time or desire to even speak to me much less help me. So thank you to whoever you are for helping me decide to not spend money at this location this morning. I do hope you have a better day and that whatever is going on in your life to make you act this way gets better and you are able to smile because I bet you actually have a nice smile if you actually put effort into it. Thank you and my morning rant is now over.

I was rushed to order what I was wanting then when I received my order the gentleman was very short and upset seeming I sat there as he shut the window then proceeded to start yelling and cursing. Loud enough to where I was able to hear. So rude and nasty makes me seriously think about not returning.

When I walked in the store, they all looked at me, then continued working for a solid 3 to 5 minutes. They were not super busy or frantic. No one asked me for my order or asked me to wait a couple minutes or anything like that. When I finally interjected with my order, They were annoyed (?!), and they told me that they will not have glazed donuts for 40 more minutes. What kind of donut shop does not have a glazed donut available early in the morning? Make it make sense. It has been years since my last Krispy Kreme doughnut, and I won’t be having another one ever again.

They owe me a refund on the spring dozen. It was $20.99. if they ran short they should of communicated that like they did when they didn't have my .22 in change
