  The service was awesome! The clam chowder was more like cream of celery soup with clams and potatoes in it; not great. The restaurant felt extremely dated.

  Duane is an exceptional employee at this establishment. He takes great pride in his craft and makes sure everyone is taken care of. No wonder he’s been there for over a decade and doesn’t call it work, but refers to it as fun in engaging with people. The GM, Oren, was great to talk to and ensured that the guests were receiving the best service. Thank you both for the great experience while we were in town.

  Phenomenal experience, Jodi was the kindest manager I’ve met, she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Duane was hysterical, the bartender had a story for everything we talked about. 5 outta 5 all around

  McCormick and Schmicks is well known for their ambiance and high standards however my experience was disappointing. I order the beer battered fish and shrimp. The fish was so beyond dry and hard. This isn’t my first time ordering this dish. Needless to say it was disappointing that that waiter expressed that the chef nor manager offered no recommendations to improve our experience.

  I had the pleasure of having Taylor as my waitress. It was my last night in Indianapolis and wanted a special evening out. Taylor made that evening special. She was professional and personable and made a great impression from the start. When she approached our table she introduced herself and I could see from the get go that we got lucky with a such a friendly demeanor. We had questions about cocktails and she clearly knew her stuff and was very helpful with her recommendations. We were off to a good start. Then, it was time to order the main course and she was once again, thoughtful, patient and courteous answering our questions. She could be half as good at her job and still be superb. As it is, she went beyond a server and was an ally, friend and partner during the service. Taylor makes one feel like they are the only ones in the restaurant with the attention she gives, even though there are others present. It’s refreshing to have a waitress who is part of the evening without being intrusive, kind without being pushy, and helpful without being impatient. I am not coming back to Indianapolis in the near future but if I was, I would make this stop and hope against hope that I could be waited on by Taylor again. A waitress doesn’t often make such an impression…but Taylor did.
