  took 15 minutes to order an appetizer that took 30 minutes to come out for 5 half eggs...then about 30 more for an entree to come out and not a single refill. we were told there was nothing they could do about the bill because everything is made fresh, but the cornbread was so so dry and cold probably under a heat lamp. "nothing we can do" = we don't care. the oxtail is also mid

  honestly hate to say it but genuinely the worst experience at a restaurant i’ve ever had. 40 minutes to order, was given excuses that didn’t even make sense just blanket statements, little to no service, and in an hour and 45minutes of being there received 0 refills. calmly and politely tried to reason with the waitress and manager for some sort of reduction to the bill considering i spent my whole afternoon there, but was met with nonsense excuses. also, very serious bug problem, had gnats nesting in lettuce on the table.

  It’s nice modern place; clean.I think the service could be little better. When u walk in employees just walk straight pass you instead of greeting you immediately upon arrival. Overall it’s convenient for individuals that resides closer to the area & want a nice meal. Thanks again!

  I was looking for soul food and came to this spot due to a recommendation. Here’s the good: the waitress was very nice, the macaroni was good(I was worried) and its affordable. The bad: when I entered the front desk lady acted like she didnt want to be at her job on that day. It was not welcoming at all. She walked me to a ballroom that was freezing. The only people in there were myself and 2 other tourists. The ballroom was so cold that I asked my waitress if I could sit somewhere else. She said the main dining area was being renovated. However there were diners at the bar area. Anyhoo I ordered the food. I became concerned when the 2 people next to me were complaining to each other about their food. My food came out and the wings were the only thing hot. The dressing was actually cold. The greens tasted really vinegary. The wings were hot but unseasoned. I was very disappointed. This was my first taste of Indianapolis and it was not a good showcase.

  This place is now on my favorite places to eat list. Tried it for the first time and really enjoyed everything about the experience. The place is kept very clean. The decor is nice. Service was friendly. I was not ready for the menu. Great soul food options you don't typically see other places. The sweet potatoes were the best I ever had. The chicken and wild rice soup was so creamy and delicious!
