Got the chicken bowl my first time, cat fish meal my second. Chicken bowl was okay, cat fish was good but tasted like the grease was fairly old, red beans and rice were terrible :( I don’t feel it’s overpriced in all areas but 22 for a catfish meal with one side is a bit insane. All in all not bad, people were friendly
My sister and I were visiting Indianapolis for the first time when we stopped at Island Jerk Wings for a bite to eat. I had my doubts, but we were greeted by a friendly face, and the wings were outstanding! We tried the mild Island Jerk sauce. I would definitely return if I’m ever in town again.
I’ve ordered here a few times now and the food is always amazing!
Really great food, you get a huge choice of sauces on your chicken
Best fries ever with very large portions. The people there are justly proud of what they serve.
I called to place a carryout order for chicken wings, but unfortunately, my experience ended before I could even order. The employee who answered the phone, Sam, immediately said—in a very rude and dismissive tone—that she had a customer in front of her, was going to put me on hold, and then hung up on me without giving me a chance to respond.
I completely understand that helping customers in the restaurant comes first, and I don’t mind being placed on hold. What I do mind is being treated with unnecessary attitude and having the phone abruptly hung up on me. A simple, polite, “Thank you for calling. I’m helping a customer at the moment. Would you mind holding for just a minute?” would have made all the difference.
Customer service starts with the first interaction, and unfortunately, this experience left such a poor first impression that I decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope management addresses this so future customers are treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve.
I don’t think this is a real Jamaican restaurant.
