I am documenting a customer service incident at the Dairy Queen located at 1024 Fletcher Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46203, and I am requesting review by Dairy Queen Corporate.
I purchased three mini Blizzards and paid in cash. All three appeared noticeably lower than what I receive at other Dairy Queen locations. When I asked about the portion size, an employee took the cups back without lids, and the employee later identified as Alissa came to the window.
Alissa stated the product was “one inch below the top line of the cup.” When I requested a refund, she said she could not issue one because the items were “already made.” When I asked if she could add a small amount of ice cream to bring the product to a standard level, she declined, stating she was following policy.
When I asked for the manager’s name, I was told it would not be provided. I stated I would wait for either the manager’s name or a refund. Instead, two employees called the police.
When officers arrived, I was told I was in a “lose‑lose situation” because I had been asked to leave the property. When I asked for the names of the employees involved, the officer stated that no one was required to provide their name. The only reason I know the employee’s name is because it appeared on my receipt.
I was instructed to take the same melted ice cream that had been handled by multiple employees and that Alissa had placed her finger inside to show the “one‑inch marker.” I left with no refund, no manager’s name, and products that were no longer edible. This occurred in front of my children.
When I attempted to document how other customers were being served, the police were called again, even though I was standing on the public sidewalk. The escalation was unnecessary and inconsistent with the Dairy Queen brand.
I have video footage of the entire interaction and welcome a conversation with Dairy Queen Corporate leadership to understand how this situation occurred and what steps will be taken to ensure it does not happen again.

Showed up 25 minutes before close and sat in the drive through behind three cars. The car behind us pulled off, walked to the front to order and walked away with his order before anyone at the window acknowledged us. The last car in front of us drove off at close so we pulled to the window and knocked since no one had acknowledged us sitting there. No answer. Walked to the front window and got told “sorry, we started cleaning.” And were refused service. So apparently closing time means nothing and if you can’t show up an hour before close don’t bother.

We do a family walk with our dog. Our routine is to stop and get a treat and pup cup.
Today I asked to scan the BOGO deal for a blizzard and second is .99 cents
They scanned it.
I ordered a blizzard. My wife ordered a blizzard. Then we got a pup cup.
Waited at the window for 5-10 min for the clerk to ask why we were waiting. I said “I still haven’t gotten my blizzard.”
She immediately snaps back “well you only paid for one”
I said “well we had scanned the buy one get one for .99 cents”
She just said “well you only paid for one” with a smirk.
Why would I scan a BOGO if I only wanted one? And where is your customer service problem solving?
Way to make it the customers fault that the order was taken wrong. Nonsense I would have to pay for another one after scanning a the deal.
