Arby's is a leading global quick-service restaurant company operating and franchising over 3,400 restaurants worldwide. Arby's was the first nationally franchised, coast-to-coast sandwich chain and has been serving fresh, craveable meals since it opened its doors in 1964. The Arby's brand strives to inspire smiles through delicious experiences. We are on a never-ending quest for the perfect sandwich, starting with the Classic Roast Beef and French Dip to the deli-style Market Fresh line of sandwiches and salads.
I normally don’t leave reviews like this, but after today’s experience, we won’t be returning to this location.
I placed an order in the drive-thru and read the items directly from the coupons I planned to use. When I got to the window, I handed over the coupons and was told by the manager that I “needed to tell them” I had coupons because now they had to re-ring my entire order.
How exactly is a customer supposed to know that? If your register system requires coupons to be entered differently when the order is initially taken, either make that clear on the coupon or train employees to ask customers if they’ll be using coupons. Customers shouldn’t be reprimanded for not knowing an internal register procedure.
What really made the experience unacceptable was sitting at the window listening to employees complain about having to redo my order, including comments about how it was “a big order to delete and start over.” For context, my order was one meal, two sandwiches, one chicken tender, and two fries, $38 before coupons. There wasn’t even another car in the drive-thru at the time.
I worked in drive-thru service for 11 years, so I completely understand that inconveniences happen. I also know there’s a professional way to handle them. You fix the transaction, take care of the customer, and move on. You don’t scold a customer for not knowing an unstated procedure and then complain about them loudly enough for them to hear.
Fast food has gotten expensive. Spending nearly $40 on a handful of items is exactly why customers use the coupons your restaurant distributes. What should have been a simple transaction instead left me feeling like I was an inconvenience for using them.
The employee who originally took my order was polite and deserves credit for that. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was so unprofessional that, combined with consistently disappointing service at this location, we won’t be back.

Horrendous experience. I will never return to this Arby’s, due to the staff. SO SO SO RUDE!! This establishment needs to fire their employees and start over. Disgusting attitudes and pure filth… What a joke. 0 stars
