- DSDominick SetungeAug 29, 20265.0⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It started like any normal Jimmy John’s trip. We were hungry, walked in expecting sandwiches, and had absolutely no reason to believe anything was wrong. Then one of the guys behind the counter looked at us and calmly said, “Just so you know, we have an insignificant amount of bread.” I had never heard a bread shortage described with such honesty and precision. Not “we’re running low.” Not “we’re almost out.” An insignificant amount. At that point, we knew the situation was serious. This was no longer lunch. This was a full-scale bread emergency. To their credit, the staff handled it like professionals. No panic, no excuses, no pretending everything was fine. Just complete transparency about the severity of the situation. Unfortunately, the bread reserves were too insignificant to support our sandwich ambitions. We left hungry. But we left informed. And honestly, I respect that. The guys were friendly, welcoming, and so straightforward about the situation that we couldn’t even be mad. They turned what could have been an annoying experience into something we laughed about the entire way home. Also, “an insignificant amount” is now permanently part of my vocabulary. Low on gas? Insignificant amount of gas. Three fries left? Insignificant amount of fries. Bank account looking rough? Insignificant amount of money. Five stars for the honesty, hospitality, and professionalism shown during one of the most severe bread shortages I have personally witnessed. We did not get sandwiches. But we did get a story. May this Jimmy John’s never again be forced to operate with an insignificant amount of bread.
