Be Careful When Buying Discounted Cheese! I purchased cheese that had been marked down to just $0.99, only to discover that it already had mold inside the packaging. What makes this even more frustrating is that a store employee approached me directly and encouraged me not to miss the great deal they had on cheese in the refrigerated section. I would not have even looked at or considered purchasing this cheese if the employee hadn’t specifically recommended it. It makes me wonder whether the cheese had been stored or refrigerated properly. I wasted my time and gas driving back to the store to return it. This is completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to food safety. I do appreciate that the manager was kind and apologized for the inconvenience. However, that does not change the fact that spoiled food was being offered to customers at a discounted price and actively promoted by an employee. Customers deserve safe, quality products regardless of the price. A discount should never come at the expense of food safety!
