We recently received an email advertising a Mother’s Day brunch, and my husband made a reservation for the two of us and our 18‑month‑old daughter on April 17. I mention the date only to highlight that the restaurant had nearly a month to prepare for our party.
Upon arrival on Mother’s Day, we were seated promptly, but the host disappeared before we realized that no high chair or booster seat had been provided. After several minutes of trying to manage our toddler in a booth, our server approached, and we requested one.
We were told, “We couldn’t put a high chair here,” due to foot traffic. We immediately offered to move to another table or use a booster seat, as we clearly needed one. Only then were we informed that the restaurant had one high chair total, and it was already in use. This was astonishing, given that our reservation explicitly included a toddler and had been on the books for weeks. At minimum, a courtesy call would have allowed us to make alternate plans. Several other families were present as well, which is unsurprising for a brunch marketed specifically for Mother’s Day. The lack of preparation felt careless and inconsiderate.
The server then added, “The chair we have doesn’t have straps anyway, so it wouldn’t help.” In reality, even an unstrapped high chair would have kept our daughter safely in one place and allowed her to reach the table, preventing much of what followed.
What was intended to be a high‑end Mother’s Day experience quickly became stressful. Our daughter slid and climbed off the bench repeatedly. Because she was too small for the booth, she bumped her head and lip several times on the marble tabletop. She eventually resorted to crawling under the table, which was both unsafe and made it difficult to keep her near us.
My husband tried to keep her on his lap, but that made it nearly impossible for him to enjoy his meal. He insisted I eat first so I could have a moment of the brunch I had looked forward to, which meant his food was cold by the time he was able to eat.
There were also no children’s menu options. Under normal circumstances, that would be understandable, but this was a brunch specifically advertised to mothers. It was surprising that no thought had been given to families with small children.
We ordered the beignets as an appetizer—one of the few toddler‑friendly items—and they arrived with only Nutella. When asked, the compote was brought out, but it was odd that it was omitted in the first place.
After we ordered, the server acknowledged the lack of kid‑friendly options and offered a fruit cup, which we appreciated. We were charged $4 for it.
In summary, I expected more from a restaurant positioning itself as a high‑end destination. I expected planning, attention to detail, and consideration for what was marketed as an “elevated experience.” Our server was friendly and made an effort, but the overall experience was disappointing, largely because I spent the entirety of my “special” meal worried about my child’s safety and comfort.
There was also no acknowledgment of the situation—no apology, no gesture of goodwill, not even a brief recognition that the experience had fallen short. For a restaurant of this caliber, that was surprising.
Unless Nando makes meaningful adjustments, I would not recommend their brunch for families. It is unfortunate, because this could have been a wonderful option for the after‑church crowd. Instead, it felt like an opportunity missed in favor of a money‑grab brunch.

The atmosphere and decor are elegant and elevated. Beautiful chandeliers. We got seated by the front door originally but asked for something a little cozier and were moved to the basement booth facing their bar which my husband loved! When we dine at this level it’s more than the food. We are expecting an experience and that’s exactly what we got. Our server Reese went over the top. He was conversational, personal, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, attentive. He even gave my a husband a free dessert for. His bday. The bartender down there was also extremely hospitable and got my husband an experimental try of a new drink. We had a charcuterie board, the duck breast, filet, lobster Mac , and carrots. All were phenomenal. Cooked perfectly. Tasted divine. Blown away. We might make this our spot for special occasions.

Such a great experience! I’ve been twice now and both experiences were so good. The atmosphere is upscale and elegant but still feels comfortable. The service is amazing, very attentive and great at giving suggestions. The drinks were strong and delicious, and the food was 100 percent worth it. The ribeye was so tender and cooked perfectly. The king crab and mussels were both so good, and I loved the complimentary bread. The sides are shareable but I couldn’t resist trying more, the loaded baked potato and broccoli were my favorites. Easy parking and great hosts. Highly recommend!

We were down visiting friends from Indianapolis and had a one-of-a-kind experience at Nando. The food is just spectacular and our servers Kiah and Maddie were 100% on point. Every time we had a need or were ready for the next part of of our evening, she was there. We had a specific time we needed to finish by and she timed everything to absolute perfection so that we finished just in time to make it to our show.
Some quotes from the group:
"That was the best ribeye I have ever had"
"This was the best dinner I have had in years."
"This risotto is MAGIC."
"Kiah killed it tonight. Perfect."
We are so happy with how tonight went and we will definitely be back.

Tried NANDO for our anniversary dinner. We knew going it it’d be expensive, but had high hopes and expectations because of that.
We were seated in the basement which is a beautiful space. The whole restaurant has been beautifully redecorated. We went there as The Jungle in the 90s and Arazu before the pandemic. Great to see the place in glory again.
Our server, Candace, was great. Attentive, polite, informed. 10/10 for Candace.
We both ordered the ribeye medium. Both were overcooked — medium well to well. But what to say in that case? Chef can’t UN cook it vs if it were not done well enough! I had creamed spinsch, which was hot & cheesy but far too salty. Chimichurro was ok but a bit watery and felt like greens stems (chsrd, kale ec). Spouse had mushrooms which were ok. Brussels sprouts were VERY delicious! Sweet & savory and the best part of the meal.
I had a coconut cocktail which was good but topped with a weird brick of “dried coconut” (suspiciously looks like a nature valley granola bar). Spouse had 2 types of Ood Fashioned and both were good. The ice cubes are a nice touch!
Would return for drinks but food was way way way overpriced for its quality.
