I had a terrible experience yesterday at this location after a manager became very aggressive and hostile, and had the nerve to call the cops on me.
I thought it would be a good idea to use the Bogo Dream Rotation meal deal. I placed my order around 1 or 2pm for pickup at 6pm When I arrived, a team member handed me my order and told me they were out of the Rice Krispies treat (which was the reason I ordered the meal). No big deal; they substituted the treat with something I'm allergic to, so I asked if I could get something else. They offered an oatmeal cookie (which I don’t eat), so I asked if there was another option.
Then, the team member went to get the manager. When she came from what she called “the other store in the back,” she was very confrontational and rude. She immediately started speaking to me aggressively and dismissively about what she could or couldn’t do for the order. At this point, I was visibly getting upset because it seemed unnecessary to go through all this over one item.
Instead of offering me a drink, a pickle, or anything else, she suddenly became aggressive, rude, and disrespectful. The manager then said she was voiding my order and acted as if she was going to take the food I paid for hours ago away from me. So I asked before I left the store, could she void the order with me being there. She became extremely animated and aggressive and asked me to leave and I refused wanting to see my order voided before I left (it’s been since 6pm yesterday and it’s still not refunded). Soooo she goes to call the police.
I feel like this turned into a homophobic attack and was racially motivated because she referred to me as a “scary gay mixed black guy” on the phone and tried to make it seem like I was the aggressor. Also, while on the phone with the police, she stuck her middle finger at me—what a class act.
To make matters worse, the manager implied I was on drugs because I wiped my nose about 2-3 times while we were talking (I had just come from the dog park with my two pups, so my allergies were acting up). She made a comment saying, “Yeah, while you're wiping your nose, must be on drugs.” — Sorry girly, not everyone does drugs, and as a manager to say that to a customer is beyond unprofessional.
Like, are you freaking serious?
