Walked in to eat, party of 4 and there were several empty tables. Lady looked up at us and said, "we're booked" and continued what she was doing on the tablet like we didn't matter. Very rude. Got online and was able to make a reservation for 30 minutes later however chose not to come after how we were treated.

We thought we’d give this place a try for my husband’s birthday. We like to try new restaurants since we tend to stick to the same few that we love, today, that decision cost us a nice meal. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken while I got the beef manhattan. Mine was just ok. There wasn’t much beef and many fatty pieces. For $18, I excepted to get a big serving but instead, was left disappointed on the small size. My husband’s was a disaster. First off, he ordered fries but it came out with fried potatoes. The breading was awful and fell off the chicken and the buffalo sauce was sweet and the worst buffalo sauce he had ever tasted and the meat in the middle was thin. We won’t be back. Too expensive for poor quality food. Go somewhere else.

I stopped in the Comfort today for a delicious breakfast they are known for. The original Crossed Eyed Cricket on West Side has been a comfort zone for my family for years. Aesthetically, it is a refreshing upgrade to the original restaurant. The location at the corner of 3rd and historic Main St presents a beautiful contribution to the down town culture. You can see by the pics and video it's set for comfort. My server was EnDang and she greeted me with the biggest smile. Her qualities as a server was impeccable. Kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I ordered the Dan's Breakfast so I could sample the most the menu offers. It comes with ham, bacon, and 2 sausage patties. The German fries with added onions were delicious. Next time I'll order extra crispy though. I ordered my eggs over easy. They came out a bit under cooked but not to the point where the whites were so under cooked id need to send them back. Some cooks in this area are not properly trained on how to set the whites and yet produce a runny yolk. They believe OE has something to do with the whites... Versus yolk only. OE, OM, OH, has to do with the yolks. Not the whites. The whites are always fully cooked. The bacon had a delicious smoked flavor, however, they were so floppy, no crispness at all. I have a video shot of the bacon. If you like crispy bacon be sure you tell them. The ham was so tender, delicious, and exactly as I expected. The sausage was about a 4 on the flavor scale. It tasted generic not a Jimmy Dean sausage flavor, a bit bland. Choose the bacon but crispy, or you won't be able to pick it up to eat it. The biscuits and gravy are about a 5 out of 10. Good... But not homemade. Biscuits appear to be bought in sheets and browned in the oven. The gravy seems to be packaged from GFS or comparable. Good... But come on... Nothing is better than home-made. The ambiance is remarkable. The atmosphere is homey, warm, and comfortable. I will be returning for sure, as you can see by my empty plate, but will customize my order to fit. I suggest making menu items in house. If Hardee's can produce homemade biscuits every day of the year then... Well... If you appreciate my review please give me a click. My Google Guide ranking depends on it. Have a blessed life .

I can't leave a review, but I can say that I don't appreciate being charged for a meal I'm going to eat two weeks from now. In order to make a reservation for Mother's Day, I'm being asked to pay ahead. I have never dined at a restaurant that had such a requirement. Mom wants to go there, so I will pay, but I'm not sure I will continue as a customer the rest of the year due to this outrageous practice. And two days after this post, management called to ask why I haven't paid. SERIOUSLY? Because I haven't eaten there yet! (And may not ever again!)
