  We had an outstanding experience at 1816 Modern Kitchen & Drinks from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the menu offers a refreshing change from the typical restaurant choices around the area. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and made with high-quality ingredients. The cocktails were just as impressive, and the portions were generous without sacrificing quality. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome the entire evening. It’s easy to see why this place has such a great reputation. If you’re looking for a unique meal, excellent service, and a place that’s perfect for a date night or special occasion, 1816 is absolutely worth the visit.

  My wife and I had dinner in your restaurant on July 8th 2026. We had reservations at 6 PM. This was the 2nd time we ate there. First time was in June of 2026. I had the Shrimp Tikka Masala, which was excellent, My wife had the cod nuggets, which were very good also. Service was also good. We thought we found a good restaurant to eat at, when we camp at O’Bannion Woods State Park, several times a year. Would have rated this visit 4 to 4.5. The second visit on July 8th, was like a completely different restaurant. We were told the owner and chef weren’t there. Service was terribly waited over 20 minuets for drinks, 30 mins for dinner. I ordered the same meal that i had in June. The cucumbers were missing etc, meal didn’t taste the same. When the waitress brought my meal out, it was cold. I asked her to heat it up the microwave. She took the meal back to the kitchen. A man brought my meal back to me. Stated restaurant didn’t have a microwave and since I took a bite out of the Meal, he couldn’t put it back on the grill. He left me with a cold meal. I should have called him back to either remake the meal or remover if from my bill. I told the waitress how disappointed we were and she took some off the bill ( not enough ). I think the gentleman who brought my cold meal back to me was the acting Mgr. this Guy should never had been in charge, He had on customer service what’s so ever. worst part of our visit Don’t think we will ever return. Such a shame.

  We have dined here many times and have generally been pleased, but our last visit on July 13 was disappointing. We made reservations and came specifically for pizza. Our server informed us that they had no pizza, that the owners are the only ones who know how to make it, and they were on vacation. They were also out of all soups and multiple other menu items. We left since the food choice was so limited.

  What a phenomenal little restaurant in downtown Corydon, Indiana. I love the interior remade. It looks like original brick on the walls. It’s cozy, but not too small. There is an open dining room as well as a bar area. The service is phenomenal. They greet you when you come in and they are so friendly and attentive. The food is phenomenal. Went and had the crab dip with some drinks the drinks were well made very tasty and the crab dip is phenomenal. Came out, piping hot and hit the spot. If you go to downtown Corrie and make sure you stop in there you will not be let down.

  Has a reservation on a Wednesday at 6:30pm. Arrived on time was seated within a few minutes a women sitting beside us was complaining that her food was very cold, but the staff told her they had no way to warm it. I was worried but stayed then another patron an elderly lady came in and asked for a table closer to the windows, for some reason they would not accommodate her. After 30 minutes of waiting for a server finally someone came by to take our drink order, but we wanted to order food now- so they had to send someone else, but sorry out of chicken and sorry out of beef. Terribly unorganized place and rude how they handled the women with the cold food. Plus place is dark and seating is all torn up.. Will never be back
