I’ve been ordering here for years and have never had an issue until today.
The employee working the register repeatedly handled food after touching unsanitary surfaces without washing her hands or wearing gloves. While I was waiting, I watched her touch her mouth, play with her necklace, put the necklace in her mouth while speaking with customers, touch her hair, ears, and rub her eyes—all while taking orders.
She then picked up a container of bacon and carried it to the sandwich station with her thumb touching the bacon. At another point, she was opening a roll of quarters, stopped to remove bread from the oven while still holding the money, and then continued handling food. Throughout this time, she repeatedly went back and forth between touching her face, hair, eyes, money, and food.
The most concerning moment was when she coughed directly toward the bread shelves. Although she turned away from the customer, she coughed straight toward the exposed bread without covering her mouth.
I’ve always had good experiences at this location, which is why this stood out so much. I hope management addresses proper food handling and hygiene practices so this doesn’t happen again.
