Visited on free cone day with the whole family. I couldn’t believe how genuinely kind and patient the people behind the counter were even on this crazy day with a line down the sidewalk and around the building. Every flavor we had was delicious and my kids are excited to return ASAP. Honestly- so am I!

My son and I went for free cone day and had a great experience. The staff was very busy, but they all had smiles and were friendly. The line was long but moved quickly. They hired a Carmel police officer to help manage the foot traffic and explain the ordering process & he kept everyone in line entertained. My son is excited to go back so he can try some other flavors. We appreciated the free ice cream!

Free ice cream day was a total bust at the Carmel, IN location today. Yah yah they had more people than they had ice cream for. Well Houston we have a problem knowing their own rules!! It was advertised as going on til 8 pm. Nowhere did it say or until supply lasted. It clearly stated you could go once or twice and this owner allowed multiple times by people so no wonder it ran out. Being turned away at 5 pm on a weekday is not exactly an acceptable way of conducting business and especially for a relatively new location. No coupons to return another day at minimum. I saw several disappointed families with children. Not a great way to get future business. Notified Corporate too!!

Free ice cream cone day? Sounds nice, and I haven’t had Ben & Jerry’s before. However, I got there like one hour before they close, and boom they “ran out” of ice cream to give for free. Drove for like 35 minutes for nothing. Don’t advertise something if you don’t meet the demands. Sure, the company might’ve underestimated the number of people who wanted free ice cream, but should’ve thought it more thoroughly. Instead of people waiting an HOUR before the store even opens, I wouldn’t recommend free ice cream for 12-8pm. Make it like 3-8pm because first, teenagers, especially high schoolers, obviously can’t go at like 12 to get ice cream, they have school. It’s not fair for any other kids who have school to miss out. Imagine how many unhappy kids there were because of the lack of supply of ice cream. Be better next time.

I had a really disappointing experience at Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day. We drove from a distance to attend and showed up before 5 pm, well within the advertised hours, only to find out they had already run out of ice cream. There was no clear communication, no signage, and instead of explaining the situation, employees were just making hand gestures at customers to leave. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially for an event that’s supposed to be fun and welcoming. I understand high demand, but running out that early and handling it so poorly really took away from the experience—especially after making the trip out. Definitely not what I expected!
