    Excellent place for dinner, the food was amazing, and the staff was awesome. very large portions. The Teppanyaki Chef had some excellent showmanship and skils, it was the greatest time we have had in a long time

    My wife and I recently visited JoJo Japanese Hibachi & Sushi, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. The service was poor, and we felt ignored throughout much of our visit. To make matters worse, the restaurant automatically adds an 18% gratuity regardless of the quality of service, which made the experience even more frustrating. The food was also a major letdown. We ordered two shrimp tempura rolls. One was a standard tempura roll, while the other had eel on top. Neither stood out in terms of flavor or quality, and both were underwhelming. We also ordered noodles, which honestly tasted more like pasta covered in garlic butter sauce than anything you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. The dish felt like a strange Japanese-Italian fusion that simply didn’t work. To make matters worse, we ordered a vegetable roll that was overwhelmingly salty. The amount of salt was excessive and completely overpowered any of the natural flavors of the vegetables. It was another dish that left us scratching our heads. What concerned us most was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The dining area appeared dirty and poorly maintained, which made us question the overall standards of the establishment. A restaurant should be clean and welcoming, and unfortunately that was not the impression we got during our visit. Overall, between the poor service, mandatory 18% gratuity, disappointing food, and lack of cleanliness, this was not a good experience. We left feeling that the restaurant missed the mark in almost every area. Unfortunately, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant based on our visit.

    Decided to try this place for my wife’s birthday as I’ve been local since they opened. I made a reservation online for 15, but had a couple that couldn’t make it last minute so it was 13 of us. The reservation online said they would hold the reservation for one hour(see pic below). Our reservation was at 5, and all 13 of us were there by 5:30. Before being seated, we were very hastily told by the male host with glasses that they would only be able to accommodate us if we were out by 7:00pm, as they had a large party at that time. Why would they book two big parties back to back if they don’t have the space? Once we were seated, it took over 10 minutes to order anything. The chef This is not the place to gather for special occasions. The seating around the hibachi is L shaped making it difficult to talk with people if you have a big group. It was mentioned early on that we were there for a birthday but celebrated her at the very end after 7! even though everybody else was done with their leftovers already packed. The food was not worth the prices. The steak was tough and the portions were inconsistent for our party, as if they were trying to rush us out before 7. On top of that, they automatically add an 18% surcharge to every check and do not disclose it upon entering. The only redeeming thing was how nice our server was, but we will not be back.
