First let’s start off when you first walk into pappadouex you feel like you have just arrived in New Orleans restaurant is always clean staff is polite drinks are always on point swamp thing is my go to frozen drink 🍹 but I love most of the frozen drinks they have on the menu the crab and spinach dip 10/10 the fried shrimp and chicken tenderloins are a 10/10 the crawfish 🦞 is amazing the dirty rice and red beans and rice 10/10 love the fact that their dipping sauces are made in house the honey mustard the cocktail sauce and the tartar sauce everything is always hot and fresh! Hands down my favorite restaurant!
I've been going to this restaurant for years, the food is always good and service is usually top-notch! But today, one of the most special days of my life, I graduated college and couldn't get seated! After driving over an hour to the restaurant, I called 15 minutes before arriving to confirm we could be seated. They knew we were on the way there and said it would be 1-2 hour wait! My family was willing to wait the 2 hours but when we got there, they told us they were not allowed to walk-in. Spoke to a manager to tell him what happened and he showed no compassion or empathy. Told us we could wait 5 hours and there's a possibility we wouldn't get seated. I asked for the corporate number and it switched to we'll get you seated but in 5 hours. It's not the fact that we couldn't get seated, it's the issue of them not willing to accept fault and not trying to help us at all! I called 15 minutes before and this could've been avoided. A waste of gas and time on my special day! Also, plenty of tables were still empty!

I had my first experience at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen for my birthday, and it was amazing! From the moment we sat down, our waiter Trevor
made everything feel welcoming and easy. Once he found out it was our first time, he took the time to walk us through the menu and break everything down, which I really appreciated.
What really stood out was that he went out of his way to point out which items contained pork —before I even mentioned anything about my diet. That level of attentiveness and consideration meant a lot and made ordering so much easier.
I ended up getting the CRAWFISH ETOUFFEE, and it was absolutely amazing—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. And the drinks? STRONG (just how I like them 😄).
The only thing I’d point out is that they don’t offer tap or Apple Pay, which was a little unexpected—definitely something they should consider adding.
Overall, everything from the service to the food made my birthday feel special. I’ll definitely be back!

It’s not windy hill pappadeaux in Atlanta or none of the ones in Houston.. Pappadeaux at those locations service is top tier and the food is freshly cook and hot.. This one food was kinda on the bland side and the service is ridiculously lacking. I sat at the bar and the only time the waitress fill my empty glass of water up was when it was time to pay the bill.. Both couple next to me were complaining about slow service and decided to just box their food up and leave.. The manager (small white lady) was loud and condescending..I still have confidence in pappadeaux because that experience was a first for me and I’ve been to them in the south at least 50 times in the last 5 years.. I just won’t never go back to that one in Westmont Illinois, ever ever ever again.. Oh yeah I sent my food back 3 times , 1st time wrong order, 2nd time is was missing items on my plate, 3rd time food was cold.. After the first couple next to me left with their food boxed up because of slow service and frustration trying to get heard another couple took their seat and left because they were their 20 minutes and couldn’t get a menu..

I’ve always enjoyed going to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, but like many places, it’s evolved over time.
I went on a Monday around 6:30 PM, and the vibe was super chill and calm. It did start to pick up around 8 PM, but by then we were wrapping up. If you’ve ever been here on a weekend, you already know…it gets crowded fast. So weekday evenings are definitely the move if you want a more relaxed experience.
One thing I did notice is that the menu feels more condensed compared to pre-COVID days. The quality is still there, but some of the little details have changed. For example, the fried alligator now comes with a hot honey sauce instead of the original sauce…and I’m not sure why that changed. I get that restaurants have had to adjust over time, but I do wish they’d bring some of those original touches back. Also, don’t be surprised if a few of your old favorites are gone or slightly different.
Customer service has always been consistent for me…friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere is more on the intimate side, nothing overly flashy, just a comfortable place to enjoy a good meal.
Parking is pretty reasonable and the lot is spacious, but when it’s busy, you’ll definitely feel it.
There were three of us, and we ordered the fondue, fried alligator, fried shrimp, three-piece stuffed crab, and blackened salmon with red beans and rice, plus a drink. After tax and tip, the bill came out to around $150–$160, which felt fair for what we ordered.
Overall, this is still one of my go-to spots and I’ll definitely be back. I just hope they consider bringing back some of the original menu items…or at least that original alligator sauce!
