My dad has been hyping this restaurant up for years and we finally got the chance to take him for Father's Day on Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant was less than half filled, which we prefer because it usually means faster service. We were sat with kids menus for our young kids and no menus for the adults. It then took a couple of minutes before someone even came over to drop menus. Then a few minutes later a server comes up with menus and wants to get our drink order in, only to disappear after mentioning someone else opened our table on their POS system. When our actual server finally showed up, she stood 8ft away from the table and I wasn't sure why until my wife said she had a strong odor of weed. I don’t care if you partake, I just don't think you should be smoking it instead of greeting your table. We ordered our drinks/apps/kids meals altogether. I don't think I have ever waited so long to get water in a restaurant. Eventually our drinks arrived but she got my drink wrong (jameson ginger ale) and never brought out my wife's pop after explaining she didn't bring it out because "they're switching it out". Our first appetizer was fantastic (grilled octopus) but our second appetizer came out 20-30 minutes later (crab dip, delicious but the wait is crazy. Server mentioned it was because of the bread?). Kids side dish (plain rice) came out long after the rest of their food. We finally get our entrées and while it was all delicious, the shrimp atop mine and my wife's food was noticeably cooled off compared to the rest of the dish and my dads entire meal (etouffee) was a half step above room temperature. Given the odd timing for our earlier dishes, it added credence to our thought that maybe things weren't being rung in correctly/some things were being left in the window. She told us since we were celebrating Father's Day that the desserts for my dad and I would be complimentary, which was very nice. After delivering the desserts she let us know she comped my wife's dessert as well. Again, very nice. Wait times for everything were substantially higher than the tables around us with different servers. It was clear those servers were checking in with their tables far more than our server did with us, as she would only appear when she was dropping something off. Our dining experience was just over 2.5 hours. For how simple our orders were and how slow the restaurant was, a reasonable service should've lasted around 90 min. I didn't want to correct my drink and we couldn't get any food remade because the wait time was already greater than expected. If there had been a manager on the floor touching tables we would have mentioned these issues then. Overall, we left feeling that if we're going to be spending over $300 (tip included) we couldn't recommend this restaurant. While the food was mostly a wonderful experience, inadequate service can leave too strong of a taste.

This was our first visit here, but we had to wait for almost close to 1 hr, people who came after us were allotted a seat before us and only when my husband went to ask y it is taking so long and y others r taken before us did they give us a seat. Secondly the server who served us, ANGELINA was so pathetic and rude, she did not serve us water nor the dinner roll when we were given a table to seat, thirdly she bought the food so late that the food was very cold instead of hot. Fourthly when we questioned her on all this she gave us a very weird answer that her manager told her not serve water or dinner roll to us I don’t understand which manager would tell their servers like that, whereas the the other tables the servers were serving all this and when asked she replied to us very arrogantly and rudely, please it’s a request take action on this as she is spoiling the name of the restaurant and the manager which is not a good sign. We do also belong to the hospitality industry so we know how it works in a restaurant. I have taken my time out to write this lengthy review so that the owner takes a note of it. Thanks

I am writing to share a deeply concerning experience my partner and I had at your restaurant while celebrating our anniversary. What should have been a special evening turned into our worst dining experience ever due to poor communication, safety hazards, and unacceptable service. Our waiter, Angel, was pleasant but seemed in an extreme rush and was not actively listening to us. The breakdown in communication became glaringly obvious when a manager came to our table to ask about my severe food allergies, only for us to realize he actually had the wrong table. When I ordered my food, I explicitly reminded Angel that I have a severe, life-threatening allergy. Instead of handling it properly, he told me I had to speak to the manager. When I informed him that the manager had already instructed me to tell the server, it was clear that the communication between management and the floor staff is deeply flawed. To make matters worse, I ordered the crab cake, and upon biting into it, I bit down on a piece of hard crab shell so solid that it could have cracked my teeth. When we brought this to the staff's attention, all we received was a basic apology, followed by a frustrating 20-minute back-and-forth ordeal between Angel and the manager. At that point, the night was ruined, and all we wanted was our check so we could leave. Between the mishandling of a severe allergy and a major food quality/safety oversight in the dish, this experience was entirely unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure other guests with allergies are kept safe and that your staff receives better communication training. If I give 0 rating I would

GROWING ITS BRANDS PAPPADEAUX maintains its winning formula! ***************** As a traveling marketing executive for some of the best companies to work for in the United States my first Pappadeaux experience came in Houston, Texas in 1980. I could not wait to get home from a rough trip and to share my Pappadeaux experience with my bride of five years at the time! Pappadeaux exceeded my expectations way back then and 26 years later or yesterday Pappadeaux exceeded my 51 years bride and my critical dinning expectations! First of all I won’t belabor the point. I will only say that in each and every category that is important to a dinning out aficionado such as this writer. The Restaurant itself was a perfect ten clean, perfectly updated and smartly designed and decorated. The new menu maintained all of the legacy dishes and even added some new delights. The portions and elevated prices even with the economy being the way that it is were good and reasonably adjusted for the situation at hand. I rate my dining experience a perfect ten. The staff on the front end of the restaurant were delightful and were a pleasure to work with. The two beautiful young ladies were properly trained to be the face of this magnificent establishment! Another ten is warranted. Serving Staff congregating at the front of the Kitchen were well dressed, neat, clean and professional. Another perfect ten. My Server was a Champion of a Professional People Pleasure and the Staff Standout with his bright light beaming over his well served table. He has a made for Hollywood presence and is the kind of gentleman that would do well in any industry. He has a good sense of dinner anticipation and left my wife and me, beyond satisfied. A one hundred percent gratuity would be inadequate for his artistic professionalism. His name is Troy N, and my wife and I look forward to seeing him again. From my years in sales, hospitality management and recruiting this young man is a Headhunter’s dream. Let’s just say that after 48 years in corporate dining and client relations and expensive breakfast, lunch, “Happy Hour” and dinners, I thought that I had seen it all! Troy N is exceptional! The Pappas Family has a real asset on its team! I know the George Pappas Story. Troy N should be prepared to play a major role in sustaining the Pappadeaux Legacy! Thank you for your time! I look forward to seeing you real soon! My family & I visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate my mother's birthday, & I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with genuine warmth & kindness that immediately made us feel welcome. The hostess Saige was absolutely wonderful, friendly, professional, & incredibly attentive to our needs throughout the entire visit. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality we received. The hostess Saige went above & beyond to ensure that my mother's birthday was special & that our family felt comfortable & cared for. She welcomed us with a warm smile, helped us get settled, & consistently checked in to make sure everything was going well. Her positive attitude & genuine concern for our experience truly made a difference. It's rare to come across someone who is so dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere, but the hostess Saige did exactly that, she treated us with such kindness & respect that we felt more like valued guests than customers. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the hostess Saige for making our visit so enjoyable. If you're looking for a restaurant where you'll be treated with genuine warmth, outstanding hospitality, & excellent customer service, I highly recommend that Saige be your hostess. Thank you for helping make my mother's birthday such a beautiful & memorable occasion. My family & I left with full hearts, wonderful memories, & a deep appreciation for the kindness we were shown. We look forward to visiting again soon Saige ❤️🎂🎉✨
