- AMamani mendoza2 days ago4.0Walked in a bit late for my reservation due to traffic unfortunately, but the host Prestyn was extremely accommodating! I was sat almost instantly and with a smiling face. I had a tough day as well, so being treated kindly with great customer service definitely brightened my day! Her customer care was so good I asked for her name haha. The drinks were good, food okay!
- MDMike Demovsky3 days ago1.0445 Reservation for two had a 745 movie which we did not make. Sat at 5:15 not a big deal it happens. Sat down immediately ordered a dozen oysters the shrimp egg rolls, a dirty martini and a Diet Coke at 5:50. I had received the Diet Coke at 6:10, We received the most poorly shocked oysters. The foot was still attached so we had to dig them out ourselves, causing that little piece of bone to come out in our mouth. Every time tasted good shucked horribly. What’s crazy is that we had now been there for about an hour and 15 minutes the martini has not come and three tables of four set ordered paid and received all their food and we still didn’t even got our drinks yet I don’t know if that’s cause we were the only white people in the restaurant. I don’t know the atmosphere was fantastic though my kind of place long story shorts they forgot the egg rolls. We never even got our entrée because we had to go to the movie they said they were gonna refund our money they didn’t or at least it hasn’t come through yet so we ordered one entrée and a salad and had to hustle to eat the salad and never even got the entrée because three hours for one entrée seemed like it was too much to ask.

Several dishes were ordered from across the lunch an dinner menus All were enjoyed. Some thoughts: The half poor boy sandwich was huge. Catfish was ordered blackened and fried, both were very good. The etouffee was tasty as were the grits. Give this place a try. I am looking forward to returning.

Reservations were for 6:15 p.m. (table for 6 adults and 1 child; 1 adult didnt come) and to celebrate to family members birthdays (1st and the 3rd). Arrived early and had to complain to the manager because we were not seated umt8l almost 7p. Although they were busy it was not extremely crowded; several tables needed to be cleaned. More employees were standing at the front desk in my opinion and not doing anything. After we were seated, the server arrived within 7 min with menus and took our drink and appetizers order (app were complimentary). He came back with bread, water and informs us that no regular Cokes were available. That was yet another disappointment. We decided to get Sprites. We ordered our food choices and I ordered a baked potato with my Pappdeaux platter. The server told me that he didn't think they had anymore baked potatoes 😕 he would check. When the appetizers finally came out took a long time they were just ok not up to the food quality that is expected from this restaurant. He told me that they did have the b. potatoes. When our entrees arrived my b. Potato did not arrive with them. My platter was bunched on a smaller plate (I've never received it on the smaller plate) so the presentation was not appealing. I asked him about the b. Potato and it came out later, so I end up taking it home. Didn't have the correct leftover containers came out with these huge aluminum pans with pre-cut hold lids, which is definitely bit for storing in the fridge. No bags for the bread, I had to suggest aluminum foil. This experience was definitely a terrible one and not one that should NOT happen at any restaurant especially YOUR ESTABLISHMENT. It was a costly one for over 300$ and there should definitely be more than complimentary appetizers for this terrible experience. Birthday desserts were given but no birthday song.

We’ve gone to Pappadeauxs for a night out for a good meal to celebrating countless occasions there. But last night was the worse. It started w/ an hour wait. We decided to wait thinking a party of 2 perhaps may be a little quicker. Not so, but we hung in. Until we saw a party of 4 who arrived after us being seated. It wasn’t loss on us the lack of experience, confidence and people skills the hostess displayed. The way she greeted and explained the wait time seemed shaky at best. I believe everyone deserves a chance but a rookie on one of your busiest nights not be a good move. Several people after a period of time began challenging her moves. We witnessed a party of 4 get called prior to us, however they arrived after us. We inquired and received an explanation they needed a larger table. I ask to speak w/ a manger and miraculously within minutes we were seated at a table for 4. 👀A party of 4 is seated at the same size table that we were. ??? Makes no sense. We saw someone walk in right before this was inquired how long for a party of 4. No reservation. They needed an accommodation and within minutes were seated prior to us. I’m watching and listening and the erratic process was deafening. People will remember how you explain things and how they are treated. Our time and most definitely how we spend our $ matter. We sat down after getting our table. Our waitress Destiny was pleasant and did her job flawlessly. The only problem was, we loss our appetite to dine at Pappadeaux. The experience we had that led up to getting our table was chaotic and beneath the standard of what we’ve experienced in the past. Everyone who wants a job should be able to get a job… it’s up to the employer to train the staff to the standard of the establishment. It will be a while before or if we return. The customer experience matters.
