  Ida G employee at the (self check out) — work on your behavior towards people. While I was completing my purchase at self-checkout, my minor son was simply helping me scan items while I was the one paying as the adult with my ID (including medicine I personally purchased). There is no store rule that says a child cannot assist a parent at self-checkout, and nothing we were doing was wrong. If the rule applies why have self check out? I was the ADULT paying for it not him. A self-checkout employee approached me in a rude, embarrassing, and unnecessary way. She incorrectly implied there was an issue with my son helping me and made me feel singled out in front of other customers. If there is a policy against this, I would like it clearly shown to me. The employee, Ida G, had unacceptable behavior and handled the situation very poorly. The management was not helpful and did not properly resolve the issue, which made the situation worse instead of better. Overall, I felt embarrassed, uncomfortable, and unwelcome in this location. This is not the first time I’ve had an issue here, and because of this experience, I do not feel comfortable shopping at this store anymore.

  Hello I visited your westmont illinois store today and went to the hot food area to get the 8 pc chicken for cheap chicken monday even before i made it all the way to the counter william mumbled something that I couldnt understand once I was closer I said what he again mumbled again which I barely understood but he said grilled or fried no hello how can I help you none of that and his facial gestures werent friendly at all I replied fried can I please have spicy which is he replied in an annoyed voice we dont have that and I said ok then just the 8 peice he said what else rudely to which I replied thats all once he packed the chicken up he shoved it toward me no thank you nothing what a rude employee I highly suggest you have a word with him or give him a training class on how to treat customers because clearly he doesnt know how to or maybe he just doesnt care but it put a very bitter expierience of your store for me luckily while checking out in the self check out lane the two people that were there were very friendly a big difference from what I just expierienced at the hot foods counter

  The girl with the power puff tattoos can’t do her job worth a damn. And god forbid you ask her to actually do something. This whole staff is so bad at their jobs. Go anywhere else please

  I have always been a Jewel shopper and recently moved close to the Westmont store. I have had many negative experiences at this store and will be making the drive to the Downers Grove store instead, even though Westmont is right by my house. I am finding expired products on the shelves, long lines that take a very long time to get through, rude staff at the customer service desk and conflicting sales signs posted in the store. Also, in general, Jewel needs to do away with the app and all the For U deals. I want to look around while shopping, not look at my phone for the deals and needing to scan all the barcodes. Make the sales for everyone, not just those willing to search online for them. I can navigate the app, but I have elderly family members that cannot.
