I gave this restaurant a second chance, but it was a very disappointing experience. The rice was undercooked and crunchy the first time, so I politely complained. Instead of making a fresh batch, they simply steamed the same rice and served it again. Unfortunately, it was still hard, crunchy, and clearly not cooked properly. It was disappointing that they didn’t take the complaint seriously or ensure the food met a basic standard before serving it again. I hope they improve their quality control because no customer should have to deal with undercooked food twice.

I’ve been a customer of Port of Peri Peri for more than two years, and the quality has always been outstanding. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The peri peri chicken is perfectly seasoned, and there are plenty of delicious options on the menu. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and provides excellent customer service. The restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is great for dining with family and friends. I highly recommend Port of Peri Peri to anyone looking for delicious food and a consistently great experience. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

This is easily the worst Port of Peri Peri location I've visited. The chicken legs are always disappointingly small, and the rice is frequently undercooked. As bad as the food can be, the customer service is even more disappointing. If you have a valid concern, don't expect the manager Rasha to handle it professionally. Rather than listening or trying to resolve the issue she became defensive from the start and seemed more focused on arguing than helping. There was no effort to acknowledge the problem or improve the experience. During my most recent visit, I ordered a rice bowl that was so poor in quality I couldn't even finish it. I politely asked if I could have one extra garlic sauce but I was told I'd have to pay for it. Instead of offering a simple gesture to make up for a disappointing meal they chose to argue over a single cup of sauce. I came in because I genuinely like Peri Peri chicken but I left feeling like my business didn't matter. Good customer service means owning mistakes and treating customers with respect when something goes wrong. If you can't do that you have no business working in customer service especially in a management role.

Absolutely disgraceful. This was without question the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
The moment I was about to place my order the manager Rasha immediately started confronting me about a previous review I had left. Rather than greeting a paying customer or trying to understand why I was dissatisfied she aggressively questioned why I kept coming back if I had written a bad review. Since when does leaving an honest review mean you're no longer allowed to eat at a restaurant? That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.
Apparently, this restaurant believes that if you criticize them you're banned from ever returning. Instead of earning back customers through better service they simply refuse to serve anyone who points out their problems.
The situation became even more unbelievable when the staff refused to take our order and told us to leave solely because of my previous review. Then another employee Isa repeatedly told us to get out, used profanity toward us, and even threatened to call the police on paying customers who were simply trying to order food. I've never seen anything so absurd.
The funniest part is that this entire situation could have been avoided. A professional business would have asked, "What can we do to make things right?" If they had shown even the slightest bit of respect or concern I would have gladly updated my previous review. Instead, they chose to argue, refuse service, curse at us, and threaten us.
If the owner is reading this you should seriously look into how your employees are treating customers. Behavior like this is exactly why businesses lose loyal customers and develop terrible reputations. No restaurant can survive if this is how management handles criticism.
Save yourself the frustration and spend your money somewhere that actually appreciates its customers. There are plenty of restaurants nearby that serve good food without treating people like they're the enemy for leaving honest feedback.
This place has permanently lost my business and I would strongly recommend that others avoid it as well.
The quality of this location is better than the others. My partner and I could (and have) eaten an entire catering size of their cassava fries. They cut them into small chunks and season them well so you always get a nice flavorful crunch. The chicken is marinated and juicy and the rice is great. This location is now too far away for delivery now and we're so sad about it. It's worth it to drive all the way to Villa Park from where we are as the nearest Port of Peri Peri to us just doesn't have as good quality of food, service, and servings. They're always so quick with their food and as someone who used to work in food service, it's quite impressive. If I ever have a specific request they always follow it which means a lot to me. Thank you to the great staff here!
