  I keep giving this place a try, but I’m continually disappointed. They are incredibly slow often on at their drive-through window. I had always assumed that’s because they’re short on staff in the mornings, but that seems to be one of their busier times when people are on their way to work. Three times in the last month, I have driven through there only to receive the wrong order. One of those times I went back around and exchanged it. The other two I did not even notice until I was already on the road to work.This morning I pulled into the outer drive-through lane, but sat there while three vehicles went through the inner lane. I continue to say “hello?“ and finally just pulled into the lane and waited my turn. Unfortunately, there’s only one window open in the morning and when I got there, I told the lady no one ever took my order. I got an “eye roll” with attitude and was told “it’s difficult for us to take an order at the window and besides, we’re really busy this morning.” That was the last straw! I simply just pulled out of the lane and drove away with no plans to ever go back to this establishment. Im not sure whether it’s just a poor training process, lack of maintenance on their speakers and equipment or just very poor management. I suspect the latter. I’ve read other reviews and I’m not the only person who has experienced a level of unprofessionalism at this McDonald’s. I patronize McDonald’s all over the Chicagoland area and this one is by far the worst I have seen. I will drive out of my way to go to the other McDonald’s in Sycamore or even the one in downtown DeKalb where I have experienced none of these problems.

  I do not enjoy ordering on a kiosk..... I would rather speak with people.what has this world come to....I will not be back to this McDonald's.

  Check your order. Even when I used the app I am missing items and they’re putting sugar in coffee when asked not to put sugar in coffee.

  This review is for a young man named Greyson that was working the drive thru window the evening of 8/7/26. I worked at McDonalds in high school so I know how busy and hectic the job can get, especially on a Friday night. Unfortunately, some locations get a bad rep due to poor service. Greyson was professional, thorough, and paid attention to detail. Regardless of the industry you work in or what your profession is, you should always strive to provide a meaningful service to each and every customer. Greyson did just that. I wish him success in his future endeavors. Keep striving for success and continue giving 100% regardless of what you do!
