The manager on duty today (Sunday, April 26, 2026) made me for the first time in my life leave a shop before I can even order anything.
I went into the store and he was helping a lady, they took a couple minutes on that so I looked at the menu deciding what I wanted.
After the lady was done I went up to the desk to put my order. And immediately I saw his demeanor and expression of being exasperated and done with me before I even spoke to him. But I ignored it because I don’t want to make assumptions that this guy was being rude.
I told him what I wanted, the number 5. And because I love Jersey Mikes, and their CPR (Chilli pepper relish) I asked if they had something like it. He said the closest thing they had was Chili tomatoes or something like that.
That’s not the issue. It’s because when I wanted to clarify, and ask if they tasted like CPR or similar because I wanted to know to decide if I wanted to add it or not.
He cuts me off. I hadn’t even gotten to ask my question. Literally didn’t even get to ask.
He started with “I don’t mean to be rude”, so I knew he was going to be rude and I wasn’t imagining his attitude.
He said, I have a lot to do. I’m training two people, so, what can I get you?
I nearly lost my shit at his question. Are you kidding me? Is this how they treat customers? By taking their frustrations on them and being rude?
What did I do to you? I only said I wanted #5 and was going to ask about the topping. You cut me off, mouth off rudely, then you have the gall to ask me what do you want after I was telling you. Talking to me like I’m an annoyance, I have never been treated like an annoyance at any place like that, it’s ridiculous. I’ve never been treated like this at any of the other JJ’s I’ve been to.
He had the energy to cut me off and be rude, I barely said a few words to the guy and I was patient. Pull the cameras.
Anyways. Very disappointed at you Jimmy John’s.
