  Shrinkflation has gotten completely out of hand at Jewel Osco. I’ve been shopping at this location for a couple of years, and Tide is the example I always check. I’m only here every few weeks, but almost every time I come back the package size, price, or both have changed. The bottles keep getting smaller while the price keeps going up. At some point, just raise the price. Stop quietly taking ounces out of the package while keeping nearly identical packaging and hoping customers won’t notice. It feels deliberately designed to make price increases harder to see. I understand Jewel Osco doesn’t manufacture Tide. P&G owns that decision. But Jewel isn’t an innocent bystander either. You choose what you stock, how you price it, how it’s displayed, and what information customers see. A retailer with this much buying power could push back on constant package downsizing, or at the very least make the changes transparent instead of expecting customers to stand in the aisle doing math to figure out what happened to the product they bought a month ago. This is exactly why people are so fed up with shrinkflation. Smaller package. Higher price. Same shelf space. Same familiar branding. Less value. That isn’t innovation. It’s a price increase disguised as a product change. After watching this happen repeatedly at the same store with the same basic household products, it seriously damages my trust in Jewel Osco’s pricing. Customers notice. We’re not stupid.

  Why close the self checkout registers early? I am here for an energy drink and have waited in line for 10+ minutes. It's 10:30 pm. There are about 8 people in line. All looking frustrated. Why do this?

  Slightly more pricey than their competition, unless you clip the coupons and shop the deals. A lot to do on your phone to actually get the sale priced items, and when to know what to clip, etc..just put it on sale! Normal Jewel where you can't find help anywhere.

  In produce you will find THE finest fresh orange juice you will come across virtually anywhere, it is phenomenal!!
