The employee seemed a little rude and was quite stingy with the portions, even with the rice. When I asked for a little extra rice, her reaction made it seem like I was asking for something unreasonable. Lately, I’ve noticed that the portions have become smaller, and unless you specifically ask for more, the bowl can feel pretty empty. I understand portion control, but a little more consistency and a friendlier attitude would make the experience much better.

If you need to confirm then ask the coworker next to you who gave us the protein: Maybe keep your comments to yourself until the customer is not in front of your face. Will not be returning there are so many better chipotles that are actually respectful to their customers.

- HGHamid GouaarousJul 15, 20261.0I had a very disappointing experience at this Chipotle location in South Elgin on July 15 2026 at 07:15PM. The employee preparing my food never greeted me. I even said "hi" first, but he completely ignored me. He seemed to be rushing through my order and gave me much less chicken than I normally receive. My bowl ended up being mostly rice and beans. He then pushed the bowl to the next employee before I had finished ordering. When I asked for vegetables, he looked at me as if I was wasting his time, added a small amount, and pushed the bowl away even harder. The experience at the register wasn't any better. After I paid with my credit card, the cashier never looked at me, simply pushed the bag toward me, didn't offer a receipt, and didn't say "thank you" or anything else. Customer service at this location was completely lacking. I felt unwelcome from the moment I walked in until I left. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this Chipotle location, and I will not be returning.
