  Try customer service classes. And hire more people. Train your managers to speak and try to help instead of saying nothing and not be educated on all aspects of the store. Employee rudeness. And one person should not be expected to help a line of people as long half way down an aisle at customer service.

  The most hated necessity. Jewel can get away with mediocrity simply due to this being the only major grocery store in this part of Skokie. Prices for everything is getting disgustingly bad with occasional good deals to be had but you can’t fill up your shopping cart with savings like you can at Aldi’s or Walmart. It leads to customers wasting their time having to commute around Skokie because ain’t no way am I paying $1-2.5 more on average for basic essentials. Sometimes you get deals at Jewel that beat out Aldi’s but I always end up saving more at the latter. Also the revolving door of employees, it seems like there’s always a new employee and that turnover is high. I remember about 5 years ago they had a really solid team in the front end, with cashiers and baggers who were fast and ran with efficiency. Now it’s a shadow of it’s former self, lines in the front end are terrible during busy rushes, sometimes I have to wander around for the cart because the new people don’t even try and embrace complacency. Then we have people who care a bit too much and become overzealous over monitoring people. Like this tall gentleman with glasses in a black jewel shirt was making my dad feel uncomfortable when we’ve been paying customers for 10 years at this jewel. Jewel Osco used to be awesome but it’s slowly becoming the next Dominick’s and even these prices make me miss Dominick’s. 2/5, it’d be one 1 star if you didn’t have an ATM in there. Get your stuff together jewel cause watching your downfall has been pathetic.

  This review is mostly for one individual that works with this company at this location Her name is: Olina…. She is an amazing woman very caring, takes her time and picks the best flowers for any surprise occasion. My mom was at the hospital down the street. She’s been in and out of the hospital many times. This young lady Olina Has helped me on multiple occasions picking the right flowers, right colors right face everything perfect having an understanding not putting too much pressure on myself to figure things out. She will just take care of it and guide me to the best register because at the store is very very busy location. That’s great for the store. It’s great for us knowing that they will be around a long time, but sometimes you don’t wanna just wait in line. She helped me with everything that was needed and went far beyond. I hope the store recognizes her for her work and helps her move further within the company. I like to keep her around for us, but it’s not right to hold someone back that truly does CARE care. We need to move them forward. I thank you again Olina For being there for me My name is ADAM and I approve of this message. I definitely five star employee
