  Service was terrible today when I was here. We waited 17 minutes to get our food and we only received it because I went up and asked about it. This is a second week in a row I’ve been here with this type of service. You need to step it up some because people are getting upset as I seen with the guy I was standing in line with.

  the chicken felt like i was eating rubber the fries taste like nothing the ranch tasted like absolute garbage i had to wait 40 mins to get my food never again wouldn’t recommend ever if you like your taste buds oh and the cake shakes you are having a sucking war with that straw its disgusting

  Use to love getting Portillos but it's gone down hill. Employees really need to pay attention to the order ticket. Every time I order a Maxwell Polish they add toppings of the Chicago hotdog. Also on top of orders being incorrect you'll also find items missing like the cup of cheese for cheese fries.

  no cheese on a beef is just a no-no then the cheese sauce for my fries. It was not even room temperature. The gravy on the side was warm. I ate in the parking lot no ice in my drink when I asked for extra ice fries not hot. I tried one of them right out the window parked in the parking an ate a little i just couldn’t do it overall experience it sucks. not to mention the chocolate cake and chocolate all on the bottom so when I picked it up and put it on my lap, I got chocolate all over my pants. My daughter told me to call reimburse me, but I’m not going back. I’m from the Chicagoland area in Portillos is always perfect and taste the same. Rockford is a hit or a miss. cost too much to Take another chance

  We ordered carry out on the evening of April 3. The order was for 3 Italian beef sandwiches and 3 fries. We live a bit far from the restaurant so I ordered all the parts separate so they don't get soggy - 3 breads, 3 beefs, 3 cheeses, 3 gravies. What we got was a joke in quantities. The beef cups were less then half full and the chese cups had a smidge of cheese each. There was barely enough beef for 1 sandwich total. Check out the before and after pics BUT I called and the crew cheif confirmed the cups should be full. I drove back to get it corrected. I brought the food with me and showed the crew chief and the manager. The manger went overboard making this right. They refunded my order and then the manager himself remade the whole order. Obviously he was compensating for the mix up but the manager set us up with enough beef for 5 sandwiches - we had some buns or our own and ate the remainder for lunch the next day. Everything was hot and fresh the way it should have been the first time. I supposed I should not give a 5 start review when it started so poorly, but I was so impressed with how they made it right that it only seemed fair. Thanks Portillo's Rockford, we will be back!
