  They are out of coleslaw everytime I've come here. I ask them to make some more which they have done in the past ,but now just say no. Then to top it off brought chicken pieces which is usually great , but this time taste funny and threw away. Not good enough

  Seems like anytime I come to the chicken deli it’s one worker an older white lady who handles the chicken and she is VERY NASTY AND RUDE! It’s not even a Monday where it’s Chaotic and this lady was very nasty, as I walked up she was already being rude to an older Blackman in a wheelchair the more questions he asked the nastier she got. When it was my turn another woman started calling out numbers and I did speak up when she called my number but I guess she heard the number after mine, the woman working over in the chicken whom I had the encounter with says “they called your number you need to pay attention or speak up” as if she was scolding me. I informed her that I did but was still skipped she proceeds to take my order while being nasty and combative with me. As we had words she then sits my chicken down and starts working on another customer. Another worker came up which is the young African American lady she begins fixing my requests, I then ask her for the manager and the previous lady name and she would not give it to me at all she brushed me off and I couldn’t understand why she wouldn’t give me a manager’s name nor call one she just kept ignoring me. Another worker saw what was going on and how many times I kept asking for a manager and she finally called a store manager by the name of Terry whom was very nice he listened to me and seemed to know exactly who I was talking about meaning it wasn’t her first time being rude to customers. I will not be back to this location I rather go on Madison, I’ve had it with that rude lady in the chicken deli and I hope Jewels do the customers a favor and get rid of her she’s very unpleasant and rude.

  I highly recommend the Jewel-Osco located at 7525 Lake St, River Forest, IL 60305. Since moving from Chicago, this has become my favorite grocery store. The store is always clean, well-organized, and well-stocked, and the staff is consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. Every visit is a pleasant experience, and I truly appreciate the excellent customer service. Keep up the great work!

  I shop regularly at this Jewel. I intensely dislike the digital coupons. Using them, however, really offer substantial savings! It takes me forever to find the item on my cell... write it in, and clip the coupon... until I met Daniel C., an incredibly wonderful employee in the produce department. I was having difficulty getting my products to download. He spent over 10 minutes with me...patiently explaining how to use the " scan the bar-code" feature. Game changer! Thank you Daniel... and Mr. Manager, can you please give this man a huge raise!!?

  Jewel-Osco, this is an operational failure at every level and it NEEDS to be addressed. My Drive Up & Go order was delayed in fulfillment and wasn’t ready until 8 PM (your own pickup cutoff) meaning I couldn’t collect it that day through no fault of my own. When I returned the next day, the employee informed me she was already putting it away with no attempt to help or offer a solution. I ended up shopping for my own order in store. When I asked about a refund on my way out, I was told a claim had to be filed with up to a seven-day turnaround. That is not an acceptable resolution for a store-side delay, and historically even that requires a follow-up call to actually execute. A separate delivery order arrived with two wrong items. I brought them to the store to return. Customer service refused to process it: app only, no in-store refunds. The app was down. I left holding items I didn’t order and had paid for, with no viable path to resolution. That is a policy failure, not a customer problem. Checkout: every staffed lane was closed. Self-checkout was the only option, with machines triggering help alerts constantly and leaving customers waiting with no assistance. An employee responding to an already frustrated customer chose sarcasm over de-escalation, drawing a crowd and nearly creating a larger incident. No one in leadership intervened. The pattern is clear: automation is being prioritized over functioning operations, and customers and employees are absorbing the cost. The fixes are not complicated, fulfill orders on time, staff your registers, enable in-store returns, fix the app, and invest in proper staff training. Until those changes are made, there is no reason to choose this location.
