  This location has greatly disappointed with food quality on several dinner purchases. As a longtime portillos customer, I wanted this place to succeed when they finally opened up nearby, but unfortunately I will not be patronizing this location anymore. From burnt chicken, soggy fries, a beef sandwich that had almost no beef in it, it's hard to want to go back. My wife can not have dairy, they drive thru attendant read back the order correctly, only to get home and to have mayo plastered all over the order. Paying almost $50 for a family of 3 for takeout, at these prices there needs to be better attention to detail by the staff. Disappointing for sure and would rather drive a little further to the Shorewood location at this point.

  I had an excellent experience. It was very smooth. employee’s are very nice. The drive thru went fast. I love at the end a person comes out a sliding glass door to give you your order. Now that classy.. I recommend this location to my job yesterday and everyone loved the order they got. So lucky closer to work now.

  Ordered a single beef dipped. I didn’t smell the sandwich through the bag on the way home. Portillo has watered down the sauce so much that it now has ZERO Flavor. Worst beef I’ve had ever. I used to love Portillos back when the lines wrapped around the buildings. They have officially ruined a classic favorite.

  I’ll give it a 3 because the drive thru people are always nice. but like everyone else. order is always wrong. and this most recent time I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. When I got home .. I realized it was FROZEN like rock hard cold frozen :(

  It feels like perhaps Portillo‘s has a policy of opening their new locations with a better quality of beef than their existing locations, for a set amount of time, and Plainfield Drive-Through just crossed the point when that ends. Beef was tough, dry even with gravy, worse than any beef sandwich I ever had and inedible for anyone without rock-strong teeth, even after cutting slabs into pieces. Person who claims manager role and does not provide a name said too bad, over 24 hours, but it wasn’t, then she said, must be the same day. She either is a practiced liar or ignorant and is likely a complaint-eliminator by function. I wanted to know if it was a Monday problem and their other person said, maybe, bag of beef could have been old. Both of them said their beef arrives already shredded from the manufacturer, and they are not responsible for it. If that person is truly the manager, I worry about their food safety overall given her rejection of any responsibility for the quality of their food.
