I had somebody send me a link to this lovely place via Messenger, I don’t know how I missed this little gem in Peoria. I am a complete coffee snob from living in Seattle for so many years and traveling abroad. I have to say that this place is amazing. I was completely geeked out over the cold coffee and the way they put it into the bottle with the little pop top! Brilliant! I’m unaware of anywhere else in this area where you can get authentic amazing empanadas! Me gusta mucho este lugar!!

I’ve come here 3 times in the last week because I have a problem and I love caffeine. The first time the coffee and empanada was really good. The garlic sauce is 10/10.
The second time I got a strawberry matcha - I don’t recommend :(
There was sooo much strawberry which you think would be good but it made the drink super tart. It honestly didn’t taste like matcha, only tart milky strawberry. We ordered a hamon & queso empanada and got queso only. My husband then ordered me a vanilla and Dubai chocolate latte - the Dubai chocolate is listed as a sauce but is actually a syrup which made my drink too sweet. Although the drink being sweet was on me, I think it’s misleading to have Dubai chocolate listed as a sauce when it’s a syrup. Had I known it was a syrup, I wouldn’t have added it but the sign says it’s a sauce so I assumed it was a sauce. The third time I went, I got the avocado toast. It was really disappointing 😭. I don’t mind spending $10 on avocado toast bc I know things aren’t cheap but man….its thin wheat bread with avocado mushed onto the treat with a little lemon and pickled onions. It tasted so bland. If it was a thicker slice of bread, sliced avocado, properly seasoned and had lemon juice and zest on top it would be perfect. It fell really flat. I’m holding onto hope that this place will improve. I rate this high because I want it to be what it could be. It just needs a little tweaking in my opinion.

New to the area and was excited to support a fellow Latino-owned coffee shop, but unfortunately left disappointed. We waited at the counter for about three minutes without being greeted or acknowledged, despite 3 employees being behind the counter, so we decided to leave. I rarely leave reviews like this, but a simple greeting or acknowledgment goes a long way, just saying ….

Cute place - centrally located . Food was great -Service was poor - 3 employees -no one greeted us - we stood for about 5 minutes before anyone addressed us - a gal said it would be a minute and it was about 5 more before anyone took our order - I felt like a bother .

I tried the white chocolate raspberry matcha, the drink was so beautifully balanced. I could taste it all and even after the ice melted! Patio option was an awesome touch. I'm excited to go back to explore their menu more.
