  A margherita pizza is traditionally made with a Neapolitan crust. Rocco Vino's has a thin crust and a margherita pizza. I ordered the margherita pizza expecting a Neapolitan crust but the crust was not Neapolitan. It was a cheap hard tavern style crust. The waiter said both pizzas are made with the same crust. Huh? I'm not a fan of crumble sausage so I tried the pepperoni instead with the regular mozzarella instead of the fresh. I basically ordered a thin crust pizza without knowing any better. The toppings were scant compared to the thicker hard crust. They also soaked the pizza in olive oil which made for a below average pie. Stick with the pasta and warm bread for dinner.

  The house salad has a science of cucumber and lettuce. Bread was great and plenty of it. I had the beef short rib pasta. Very tasty. I would like it to have been more browned and complex, but it was good enough I ate it all. The eggplant dish was really good. The vesuvio potatoes were anemic looking. The chicken was average. Didn't do dessert. Asked for separate checks and got one. Took forever for the food. Weird. Got the at 5 and food didn't arrive until after 6:30. No appetizers. They weren't that busy on a Sunday. But they did have a graduating high school student party, which was small. Eggplant was the best thing we had there.
