    Tables weren't cleaned, workers had an attitude when I asked for napkins because they were out. They were also out of straws and large drink cups so they were giving people mediums for the price of a large. The cheese on the burger was a cold kraft single. Italian beef was drier than a desert. The egg that came with the salad was cold and dry, the bread was hard as a rock. Shakes started as one flavor and ended as a different one. Ex: chocolate cake shake turned vanilla.

    If they had less than 1 star, i would choose it. I have seen the decline on this restaurant over the past years. I know the quality of workers have declined but it starts and ends with management. With it's decline, there is no hope. My money or my love ones money will never go there again

    My first time visiting Chicago. I like to check out the local spots, and I wasn’t going eat at this location based on the reviews. I’m glad I took the gamble. The lady taking my order was patient and made ordering simple. I got the #1 with a Chicago dog in the fashion she preferred. The atmosphere was amazing, food was fast and hot, bathroom was clean, restaurant was clean.

    First time I ever experience this in the Portillo’s They said they’re not serving garden dog after 11:00 am I asked them why and simply they said according to corporation. they cannot serve garden dog after 11:00 Am. Then I asked cashier‘s name. She didn’t wanted to give it to me. And ask me why do you need my name as simply tell her I’m trying to put the review if I can please have your name. She got mad didn’t come back.

    I hate to post this because this has been my go to portillos for years and recently its been downhill but this last time was my last straw. 1. I ordered and there was only like 5 people ahead of me at the counter waiting for their food. I waited 20 minutes and realized that some of those people havent received their orders. After 30 mimutes I finally asked the manager that 7 people that ordered after me got their food and the manager replied saying we get the orders as they come and proceeded to turn her back. A girl that was waiting for 1 salad finally got her salad only to be wrong. 2. The girl doing the salads threw all the bags on the counter just threw them. 3. A customer related to an employee that there were no lids for the cups and needed a medium. The employee slow as a sloth went to the back and came back with ONE SMALL LID. when he was told he needed a medium he came back and finally brought a medium. I noticed that all the employees including the manager had no sence of good customer service. If the manager is not leading by example then what does that show the crew? I finally got food and my burger was cold and I was so mad I just left. The only person that was helpful was the cashier who went to the back to still help out and apologized for dragging on orders. I worked in food establishment over 7 years and even on my bad days I was never this bad. Always remained professional. Moral of the story if you don't like your job then quit.
