  Stopped by to reminisce The same feelings I used to get going to the 35th and archer location back in the late 90s early 2000s. This location has exceeded expectations Friendly Host, fresh baked goods, beautiful dining and Long traditional coffee counter. I'm sure the food is great, can't wait to share that experience next time. This time got the donuts!

  One of the old reliable breakfast place around me. I always like coming here for their soup, unfortunately this past weekend I went in with my wife to have breakfast and their where some hiccups. Some of the utensils where a little dirty my glass had lipstick on it but by the time I noticed I had finished my drink. Wife had ordered waffles with pecans and they forgot them. I know the staff is busy trying to take care of other tables and it's always busy there but I have noticed the lack of attention has gone down a bit.

  I bring my elderly mom here on sundays and today was not good Jesus Christ the waiter was so rude every time we asked for something she took 20min to bring us something like extra cream for our coffee there was no need to be that rude

  This restaurant has been serving Oak Lawn community for a while. very family oriented and affordable menu and you will not go hungry after you dine here. The place— even though the name Huckleberry bring a lot of historical memory to your mind. There is nothing historical about this place, except that it had been serving the Neighbourhood for a long time. It is one of those restaurants that give you an all enclose your meal starting from coffee or soft drink with an entrée and side, dishes, and dessert for one fixed price. But when it comes to simple, scrumptious meals, this place delivers. Ambience— definitely a place. Your grandma and grandpa will be proud of. If you’re expecting Michelin type food, you’re going to be not satisfied, but however, in all fairness, the prices are not five star Michelin either for example I ordered the Greek chicken and the first question the server asked me was whether that I wanted the full meal or just entrée in other words for two dollars and 50 Cent you get coffee or soft drink, the Greek chicken, a small Greek salad, and choice of potato, and a choice of dessert for about less than $20 and a good portion of half of Greek chicken made very well, you cannot go wrong with that of course the downside is that you have to wait for about half an hour to get the mail as they freshly prepare everything. I took one bite of the fresh Greek salad and immediately told the server that for a meal of this quality I’m prepared to wait even more than half an hour and I sincerely meant that. The food— the Greek salad arrived with the cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, the usual suspects, and a general amount of feta cheese, sprinkled generously with right on time and covered with olive oil and some anchovies as I requested them. I can make it was regular olive oil and definitely not extra-virgin again as I mentioned before for the price it was not bad and overall the Greek salad tasted very good. The chicken arrived , well broiled,bone in, tasted like homemade chicken. I am a sucker for Greek potatoes, and I ordered them and the only criticism about the Greek potatoes that they can be a little more tender, but, however, it is very difficult to make proper Greek potatoes or even bio potatoes if you use Idaho potatoes but this is Oak lawn and Idaho potatoes are the most affordable choices for any restaurant owner. As faras the desert is concerned the pastries are made in house and you can have a choice any pie they had made on the day or cake or Jell-O or rice pudding again the drawback as they do not have any sugar-free options. You finally enter the meal with more coffee and you’re not shocked when the bill comes in as the damage is usually less than what you expect when you go home you don’t go home alone as a doggy bag accompanies you with more food. Service— my server was very pleasant, they explained how the system works and smiled a lot, very friendly diner Pros— good portion, size, food, very tasty, and good service, also they’re open late on weekends. Con’s— the Greek potatoes can be a little tender, but again it’s very difficult to do that with Idaho potatoes Final verdict— if you’re looking for an affordable family restaurant that will not break the bank. This is it highly recommended for the price range in the Neighbourhood.

  The place is good, but they’ve increased the prices and the customer service does not reflect the price increase. In restaurant experience is much different from ordering off of DoorDash. DoorDash feels very haphazardly done. Please invest in cupholders this rarely happens, but this is the fifth time that I’ve had to throw out a perfectly good meal because somebody thinks it’s a good idea to just shove a full cup of coffee into a paper bag, and then surprise, the liquid coffee causes that paper bag to wither away and spilled coffee on all of my food. There was literally a pool of coffee in the bag when we opened it at the office it spilled on the floor. This wouldn’t be that big of an issue where I had to put a review, but the fact that the food is very expensive now and also the DoorDash delivery fee is also kind of ridiculously overpriced; it’s a bit infuriating that I could spend $25-30 on DoorDash (for just one meal mind you) from this restaurant and not be able to actually consume the food I paid for is a little ridiculous. There should be a little bit of extra care, put into the DoorDash stuff considering how expensive it actually winds up being versus going to the actual restaurant. I guess if the office really wants to have breakfast, we’re going to just have to pick it up but still; Who offers drinks from their place but then not offer any cupholders? Is it really that expensive to buy them in bulk?
