  I originally was not going to write a review. The original issue is lack of space for customers to get around. But after going there about 10 times and having bad experiences with the cashiers most of the visits, I just have to. They are rude. They’ve gotten upset almost every time I’ve had to use two payment methods or I have to have something taken off. Right now I’m struggling financially and the last thing I need if for a cashier to make me feel like crap about it. I apologized to her probably 4 times and said thank you when I left but she said nothing to me throughout the entire transaction. It wasn’t even busy and there was no line! This is my closest grocery store but it’s worth it to drive further and not be treated like garbage by the cashiers here.

  By switching all of their sales / coupons to digital coupons which much be scanned on their app (which slows down your phone btw) Jewel is price gouging their primary customer base- the elderly. Everyone knows old people make up most of jewel's customer base, and many of them struggle to operate a smartphone. Which means they're likely to see the big sale sticker on an overpriced item, put it in their cart, and miss the tiny print that says "must scan with app." Maybe they'll notice the price when they're scanning it is different, maybe the text is too small for them to read without glasses. Maybe they'll notice but be too embarassed to ask for help. It's messed up. This also harms people with visual or cognitive disabilities who would experience the same confusion. This practice is gross. As it is, their selections are overpriced and their produce is drenched in pesticides unless you're buying organic or products like gotham greens- which are $8 a salad without their app but regularly on sale with "in app coupons" I'll change my rating when sales are accessible for everyone but until then, I'm disgusted with Jewel Osco.

  Never have a issue when I go here only 1 time was someone rude but they are not longer there very clean store

  The manager is a very kind and hardworking person; I always see him in the store helping to make sure everything is in order. He is the number one excellent person I have ever met.
