  My husband, son and sister went to portillos yesterday. My husband is a veteran. He brought his military ID to the counter like we always do, and was told that they only give a military discount to those in uniform! What is up with that? The veterans deserve it. This is awful.

  I visited Portillos in Oak Lawn on May 18th and the wait was absolutely too long. I talked to Kenya, the manager; and let her know that I was going to give her negative feedback. Gas is entirely too high for Portillos to have us sitting that long in our vehicle. I have never had this kind of service at the Portillos on Taylor. I always received excellent service.

  I just want to know why such small baby cups of water are offered when ordering a meal? I would think that since I paid more than $10 for a meal that I can get a regular sized cup of water!! Same with the fries that do not get filled all the way when ever I go to any of the Portillo’s locations. Is it small meal for more money? The small cups of water should be for kids and emergency thirst not for meals that grown people order paying more than $10. Please address this and make it make better sense. I think that people should get their money’s worth paying exspensive prices no matter if refills are offered. I shouldn’t have to get any refills.
