I had my first visit to Lazy Dog in Buffalo Grove with friends and family, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I was skeptical when hearing about it, assuming it was just a hot dog spot — I couldn’t have been more wrong. The menu was diverse, extensive, and full of dishes that looked tempting. A friend and I both ordered the Protein Crunch Bowl - protein and fresh salad. My 16‑year‑old son, a picky eater, devoured an enormous bacon burger. Other guests tried an Asian kung bao dish and a chicken entrée, and everyone seemed happy with their choices. Service was friendly, and the food arrived reasonably quickly. Whatever your preferences are, you’ll find something to enjoy. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more of their delicious dishes.

My husband and I love Lazy Dog, but our dog definitely loves it even more! We took him there to celebrate his 5th birthday, and the manager, Alex, made the day so special. Alex was incredibly kind and thoughtful. He checked on our dog’s meal to make sure it was coming out, and later came over to let us know he was having a birthday cake made for him in the back! It was such a sweet surprise. The service was truly outstanding, and they went above and beyond to make our pup’s birthday memorable. Thank you so much, Alex, for making his special day even more amazing! We can’t wait to come back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lazy Dog in Oak Brook has become one of my go-to spots because it’s consistently good without ever feeling boring. The menu is fresh, varied, and actually interesting, so there’s always something new to try without risking disappointment. The cheese curds, however, are non-negotiable. They’re perfectly crispy, ridiculously melty, and somehow vanish from the table faster every time. At this point, ordering them is less of a decision and more of a tradition. The staff is always such a pleasure too—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without hovering. That kind of service makes a good meal even better and is a big reason I keep coming back. Between the fresh menu, great atmosphere, consistently kind staff, and cheese curds that probably deserve their own fan club, Lazy Dog continues to earn its five stars.

Came here this afternoon after 1.5 bike ride at the Arboretum. Our server was awesome. It was his first day and he did amazing. Very friendly and attentive. It was our first time here and he gifted us some homemade chips and their Chipotle sauce. They were delicious. I got myself a mule and the Baja California burger with some truffle fries. Everything was soo delicious. I’m so happy my brother in law suggested Lazy Dog. My husband and I will definitely be back.

We went here for my son's 16th birthday, and we had expected an elevated "scratch kitchen" experience, but Lazy Dog felt lazier than we'd hoped. The buns for all the burgers and sandwiches were soggy, the fries were cold, my wife's truffle fries had no truffle, and everything across the board seemed indistinguishable from Applebees or some other microwave-the-dish-corporate-sent-us chain we wouldn't go to. Service was kind if a bit disinterested, and the atmosphere was lively but we couldn't hear each other talk over the roar. Not our place, but we were absolutely confused why there was a line out the door. More power to you if this is what you like.
