  The portions are much smaller but the prices are getting higher. This is my second visit with my children just to compare with past experiences .Definitely it has changed for the worst

  When businesses first open their quality, service and quantity are phenomenal . Once they become well established everything is down hill. The scoop sizes are quite small, presentation is unappealing & customer service is mediocre.

  Graeter's ice cream flavors are hit or miss. Black Raspberry, hopefully still the best seller, got a recent package graphic design which isn't as playful as the prior one. But it's what inside that counts and that is fantastic. Bliss is not amiss with that flavor. S'mores are a close second once one lets the ice cream melt enough for its marshmallows to be noticed. Graeter's sundaes are wonderfully sweet even though their sauces overpower their ice creams' flavors. And Graeter's shakes have never been worthwhile but its flavored lemonades are excellent. They're essentially lemonades with ice cubes and, at the bottom of their serving glasses, fruit sauce such as strawberry. If one requests that ice cubes be withheld from the beverage, that sauce may be slurped with a large straw. And the drink is still cold without those ice cubes. Some varieties of chocolates are available here as well. Their quality is on par with Fannie May's. Last, Graeter's ice cream prices are higher than elsewhere but they cover good service and real dairy French Pot ice cream. There's a Loyalty Rewards program for discounts, and the brand is stocked and occasionally on sale at Northbrook's The Fresh Market, which is a very nice grocery. Heinen's also stocks Graeter's brand ice cream.
