We came to the restaurant for lunch, hoping to enjoy a quiet meal. When we arrived, we were seated at the hibachi table, even though it was practically empty, and we were told to sit in those two specific seats. In fact, the entire dining room was nearly empty, so we do not understand why we were not allowed to choose a more comfortable place to sit and enjoy our lunch peacefully. Management should review this policy and reconsider its approach to seating guests. Unfortunately, this experience has cost the restaurant a loyal customer. I will not be returning.

Lot of options for vegetarians! Loved the house ginger salad, so flavorful. Lychee mule and hot sake were great. All the vegetarian rolls were amazing especially the sweet potato and veggie delight. The show stopper was the warm chocolate bundt cake with lava chocolate and vanilla ice cream. The cake just melted in my mouth. Couldn’t stop eating it. Sriracha spicy edamame was just mind blowing but not for weak ones 😉

Y'all really charged me over a hundred bucks and served watery, old, plastic wrapped creme brulee Do you even know what brulee means? Take it off the menu if you're not gonna try, just get the mochi ice cream from the store and charge $10 for it like every other place, it'd be better then the pre-bruleed creme soup y'all put in front of me.

We enjoy sushi, and especially like sitting at the sushi bar and interacting with the chef. Sadly, this experience is available at increasingly fewer places. Shinto has a nice large sushi bar, so we decided to try it. (The other half of the restaurant is teppanyaki tables, that do a ton of business.) After we were seated, we were disappointed there was no acknowledgement from the five chefs, who were plenty busy. But after our orders were placed, the head chef, Daniel (not his real name) who seems to mostly supervise rather than cook, did come over to chat with us and was very personable. He did check in with us three of four times during the meal The sushi itself was quite good and reasonably priced (more expensive than AYCE, but the quality at those places can be hit or miss). We really like saba (mackarel), but a lot of people don't, so not everyone offers it. Shinto does and it is top notch. If you do want to save a little money, on Friday and Saturday evenings, amazingly, if you order at the large liquor bar there is a wide variety of discounted sushi selections. (There is a dining room for sushi orders, but no discounts there.)
